Message: I did a 0-60 today in my stock 1997 CC 5.2 and it ended up to be
11.3 seconds. I had some wheel spin until about 30mph and I had
the overdrive on (I know I know, I just forgot) I know it would
probably be a little bit faster with it off and if I worked on getting
the wheel spin down. Keep in mind the truck does have 226,000
miles on it. What do ya'll think?

Message: Having OD on makes no difference.
The time is what I'd expect from a high mileage engine.

Message: You can eliminate the wheelspin by installing a set of traction bars. Whether you would want to do that would depend on what you use the truck for of course. You will get better times if manual shift. Run first out, then shift to second. Hold second. Don't shift into third much less allow it to shift into overdrive. I would say stock times would be in the nines. Strickly a guess keep in mine.
