Message: I just hit 567,000 today. I just wish you guys would listen to me about Amsoil. Steve Roark comes to this site to promote great things and besides, my truck has lasted longer than any Dakota in the world. Look at me. All i'm asking is that you just try Amsoil.

Message: Without Amsoil I could only get to Warp 8, with Amsoil I can now hit Warp 9.5 with easy in Starship Dakota. Unfortunitely Deep Space Nine doesn't have Amsoil. The local forengy bar owner won't carry it. Captain Kirk.

Message: lets see, you nerd, no vehicle has brakes that last 540,000 miles unless you use your drag stick brakes and coast to a stop after downshifting. How many times you have your shoe resoled with solid carbon steel ( good for making sparks ) after having dragged your feet to stop that go kart? Come on, tell us the truth.

Message: Duster and corrector. Dont be so quick to judge. You know it will go that far if you tow it behind a Ford or Chevy....on a trailer.

Message: And a Chevy won't go that far either on a set of brakes. lol However, I must say I've owned 5 GM 4X4 trucks, and I've never had problems with any of them. My Dakota R/T has had more repairs than all of them combined, and it has less than 50,000 miles on it and it has never been abused. The sad fact it, the more computer and high tech stuff they put on trucks, the more there is to go wrong. But it keeps auto techs employed with the warranty work and dealers make lots of money on warranty work as well.

Message: Since when have dealers made money on warranty work!?! I am a tech at a chevy dealer and I and everyone I work with are loosing our asses big time on chevy warrany work. For example just last week had to put an evap canister vent solenoid on a Caddy CTS (continues to suck), to get to this part you have to pull the entire rear subframe out of the car, rear axle suspension and brakes. For warranty this job only pays 2.6 hours, but if a customer was paying it would cost them 4.0 hours. If you know of a dealer in eastern Virginia that the techs are making money on warranty work please tell me so I can go apply for a job with them.

Message: hmmm, warranty work must have changed. Let me correct that-dealers used to make a lot of money on warranty work. Just like gas stations used to make most of their money in the back room doing repairs. But probably when vehicles were a lot simpler to work on. I used to be able to do most of my own repairs at one time. Hmmm, maybe that's why dealers charge more for repairs than independants - because they lose money on warranty work. lol
