Message: i have heard of people strokeing their 360 in the R/T's to 408 cid (or something close to this). is there a kit like this for the 318? will this pass smog in california, and how reliable is this for a daily driver?

Anything is possible...as for passing emissions in CA, if you retain all the factory emissions equipment (or use CARB Approved aftermarket accessories), you should be fine even with a slightly hotter cam. Keeping the cats intact of course.
Visually, they can't tell the difference.
