4wd is the preferred option in my area, as trucks are usually bought for work more than racing. As for auto, if you're ever in a lot of stop and go traffic (especially while heavy towing), or have had to drive with a left knee injury - it has its advantages.

little jer - its knowledge and a good set up that will get you through the drifts more than power. I was assuming people on this board could handle the power - thanks for cautioning those who can't !

don't mess with the $20 chips on ebay. they are just a $.10 resistor you could get @ Radioshack. save your coin and buy a Superchips tuner.

I seriously doubt it. Looks like false advertising to me - one I checked said it worked like the Jet chip (which most on this site say is junk anyway compared to Superchips). Then it said it works like a resistor, inline with the IAT. Even the Jet chip does more than that, I believe. Its only going to fool the PCM a little to think the intake air is cooler. For significant gains, like the "UP TO 20 hp" they misleadingly claim, you're going to need more ignition advance than that (though there is a speck of truth there, if you realize 1/4 hp increase qualifies technically as up to 20). They might as well claim up to 100...

I gaurantee you won't see the significant gains I saw with a custom PCM flash (they compare it to that too). Don't waste your $$$ !
