I assume he was asking a legit question. He noticed the STOCK programming uses TORQUE MANAGEMENT during shifts. While it feels like a solid shift (and it is) the engine reduces torque during the shifts. Chrysler had been doing that on the V6 electronic tranny's and then on the newer 45 RFE tranny's.
A thing called a SuperChips programmer is all you need. I know there is a mechanical version now that requires removing the drian pan and getting into the valve body a bit to replace springs and some cups or something. But half of their secret to the shift improvement is they cut and splice in a resistor or something in their to trick it to reduce/remove the torque management during shifts.
I always document my mods and experiments (good and bad) with videos and here is one that demonstrates the AWESOME shifts you can get from the 45RFE (or in my case a 5-45RFE) tranny just by a programmer. And it really does it once I did the lower gears and LSD diff....
chirping the sh*t out of the tires
It's a 4 meg Real PLayer video but worth downloading.
I never have removed my tranny pan.

Message: I'll bet your filters are full.
They are real filters, not just a screen like in so many other transmissions.
They both have built-in bypass and anti-drain back features as well.
Also, the pan magnet is a tiny, cheap, weak, useless thing, so doesn't trap metal particles well. Anyone who drops their 45/545-RFE pan should replace it with a much stronger one.

Message: Geez I hope not!
I will have to do a tranny service soon I guess.
This weekend my truck will be hauling a 8,000 Lb load to Flagstaff! It will get a good workout on them hills too!
Time like that I am glad I got a Mid Sized TRUCK instead of an imitation truck like a Honda :p
