Message: What type of intake manifold would you recommend for a 99' 5.2L 4x4,I would like a little more low end torque. Perhaps one that would work well with 1.7 roller rockers.
Any ideas anyone.

Message: unfortunately, there are no intake manifolds available to increase low end tq. keeping the stock kegger is your best bet for now. however, a good towing cam along with the 1.7 roller rockers will do you good. just be sure you tell the people youre buying the cam from that you have 1.7 roller rockers. or you could just stay with the stock rockers and get the towing cam alone.

Message: Mr Intake, why would you buy 1.7 RR if you already plan on buying a cam? Wouldn't it be smarter to stick with 1.6 and use a standard grind on the cam?

Message: N56629, in my case I bought the 1.7s first. I really liked what they did for performance. IMO, a nice gain throughout the powerband. So a year goes by and I want more hp. So I buy a cam and advise the grinder of my 1.7 rr's. Thats the cam/1.7rr's combo I was refereing to.

Message: That's ok for you but your advice to Mikey was misleading. It implied that he should get "a good towing cam along with the 1.7 roller rockers." He didn't seem to say whether he already had the rockers or not. I thought he was going to add them along with the intake.
You are right on about sticking with the stock manifold.
