Subject: blown tranny IP: Logged
Message: so i have an 02 dakota r/t fairly modded, has a hotter cam, m1 manifold, msd 6a, superchip, headers, true dual exhaust and a few other mods. Anyways after i finished installing my cam and intake manifold (around a month to be exact) my transmission started to give out on me, in fact it had no first gear and would start in second...took it to the dealer and was surprised to find out they can warranty it. So the next day they dropped my tranny and realize that my valve body has been "ripped apart" so now i am waiting for one to be shipped from a chrysler dealership down south, apparantly way down south since its been 2 weeks now and no part....Anyways my real question is, how can i prevent my tranny from goin again i maintained it perfectly and it still blew i am thinkin i am puttin out a bit too much power for it to handle, any suggestions??

Message: Trans Go Shift-Kit, friend had his tranny rebuilt and shift kit install and had no more tranny problems. he had edelbrock heads and a S/C #9 boost and the trans went fine. this was on a R&T
they're about $90 bucks, and are good for performance as while as strength.
