Message: Never tried the jet; went with a custom flash myself. Jet has recieved many bad reviews as showing no gains by others here in the past, most seem happier with superchip.

Message: Unless an independent or individual, not the company, can show any gains on a dyno for the 05 year, don't waste your money.
As said, in the past, they are REALLY expensive paperweights!

Message: I had the stage 1 chip and k&n cold air intake installed on my 4.7 trucky, and they made a hell of a lot of difference all the way through mid range, Don.

Message: That's funny; that intake should only show a gain where it outflows the stocker at the highest rpm's. That's pretty much the only place K&N's dyno shows a gain for that intake, and the only rpm's you should expect a gain if you think about it. The stock set up provides plenty of air at the lower rpms. I think the intake noise just makes some people happy. As for the Jet chip, all the guys who've dynoed it here seem to say it's junk.

Message: well kowalski...whether peeple agree or not...different yeers are almost totally different trucks...dodge has had so many different engines its impossible to keep up... some things work better on certain stages of the magnum... i agree that stock for the 05-up has done a better job, but performance accerssories are still out there to make it better...so hard to say

Message: Not really - except for some different methods of triggering some sensors, all the 4.7's are very similar. Like I said, all you really need to do to figure out some of this stuff is to think about it. Modding a motor for better air flow has always, magnum or not, given gains where extra air flow is available. Just basic science. Despite the old muscle car era "hemi voodoo" ads; there is more science than voodoo to modding...

Message: I have the jet stage 2 and i regret that i ever bought it.
There is one observation.
W/ this chip, i most buy super gas, or the engine will ping very often.
There for i suppose it allows more time advance, wich is more power and more economy of gas.
I`m tight on money but, eventually, i will find the time to downtime the truck and send the pcm to Mike Leash. I`m dreaming w/ it for 3 years now.
