Subject: Low End Loss, HELP! IP: Logged
Message: Mods are a live and learn situation. I have a 00' 3.9 4X4. I had a set of 93' dak exhaust manifolds ceramic coated($135) and new y- pipe fabricated and installed. The new down pipes are 2 1/4", to the 2.5 pipe. Along with a magnaflow muffler. Sounds throaty, love the sound, hate the off the line loss in power. Great improve ment when over 2000 rpm. How can I get my low end back? Or do I have to go back to stock down pipes? Will underdrive pulley help?
Thanks,
Ernie J.
