Message: If I were to supercharge a 5.2 with egr, would it be better to close off the egr tube?? Or is it ok to run a supercharger with egr?

Message: Well, it's illegal to remove or disable EGR; but supercharge to your heart's content.

Message: I bought my supercharger - I read where you can trace a egr gasket to a thin peice of sheet metal - cut it out and use it in place of the gasket to close off the egr. They dont do emission testing here so I'm not worried about the "law". But will This throw a code if I do this to a '93 318?

Message: "They dont do emission testing here so I'm not worried about the "law"." Doesn't matter. It's still illegal and if spotted at any inspection, you can be prosecuted. Besides, if you ever sell the truck, you are financially liable to fix it so it will comply with the law. Why do it? It will not make the vehicle run better or faster.
