Message: got the same amount of miles and im tempted to get headers also. my engine runs great i think if yours does to you should be fine. the headers arent gonna hurt the engine but all the times your floor it with your newly gained performance will.

Message: I put Gibson headers on my 98 3.9 around 200,000 miles. Now has 500,000 miles on it. Best performance improvement I've made. Better MPG and way better power, down around 2,000 RPM, where the engine lives.

Message: LOL Shatto...the manufacturers want you to buy their new "improved" vehicles, not get more life out of one where THEY have no income potential anymore! An alternative to headers on a GenII 5.2 is '92-'93 factory exhaust manifolds with 1/4" larger inside diameter. Usually under $100 at a junkyard, and your heater will work better on cold winter mornings! A Magnaflow Y-pipe and a free-flow cat. converter helps in this picture as well.
