Message: Ever heard of it? You run it through your engine to clean out all the carbon/gunk build up. A friend of mine did it to his 240SX, and it ran like a totally new car. It sounded better and pulled much harder.
My 1997 Dakota (5.2L SLT CC 4x4) has 124k miles on it, and I really want to run this crap through the engine to clean it out, as I'm positive it's lost some power over the years since it was built in 1997. My question is, where do I pour it? I heard you pour it in the PVC valve, but I wouldn't know where to locate that. Help, please.

Message: Several different ways actually, down the TB, in PCV hose(running from the passenger side valve cover to the manifold), down the breather tube(running from the driver side valve cover to the air hat), or like I did, run 2 lengths of tubing from a vacuum nipple from each side the manifold, and "suck" it out of the can like a straw.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

Message: I'm still slightly unclear on this, for some reason. What does TB stand for? Throttle body? :p

Message: Where inside the engine (not on the valve cover side) does the PCV hose go to?
And the breater tube, I don't think that would work on my GenII. The fluid would be on the outer side of the air filter.

Message: Seafoam or chemicals like it have been used for some time at dealers. You run the engine until hot and then you pour in the additive into the throttle body while reving up the motor. This will cause the engine to stall. You let the foam sit in the cylinders and it will loosen the carbon on the pistons and the valves. Sounds good on paper. This additive has been known to clog converters and cause problems with o2 sensors. I was one of the techs using this product since 1985. There is no fix in a can!
My 2 cents

the TB is the throttle body. pour it down the tb at a slow speed and i think it is a pint that you pour?

Message: No zzark, it would work on a GenI or II, or any dak with an air cleaner assembly on top of the TB. The PCV hose runs from the valve cover to a vacuum nipple on the passenger side of the manifold.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

Message: well you are putting a harsh chemical in to your engine. always a chance of messing somehting up. also yo ucan hydrolock your engine too. have to be careful at how much you put in at one time. I am getting a product called auto RX. suppose to clean all the sludge and carbon in the engine. clean the ring packs. have heard many great things about this product and decieded to give it a try. will keep ya'll posted if you like. its not a harsh cleaner.

Message: transmission fluid is a good cleaner too. dont dump it in though. just a small little stream of it into the engine while its hot. it will smoke like hell but cleans out carbon pretty good. it wont hydrolock if you dont dump it.
