Message: you wont run the valves into the piston with that set-up, but with the stock valve springs you will float the valves bad. replace those as well. you might as well inspect your valve stems, valve guides and make sure the stems are perfectly square and theres no excessive clearance in the valve guides.

Message: the motor has 151,000 miles and its a Mopar kit.
i do think i will do rollor rockers but doing a cam would give me the preformance gains i am after. just dont know if the old 318 is up to it.

Message: you can go as big as 1.6/1 rockers (with a mildly modified cam) before running the valves into the piston, if that is what you are looking for, but yes - an overhaul is in order.

Message: my buddy has a 318 LA 141,000 put a cam in it and it seems like the lowend took fine.
the roller rockers i want to run are the 1.7 harland rockers. but the 1.6 are better for the top end hp correct?

i have a lot of low end grunt all ready but alittle more would never hurt. the only thing it will hurt is my 0-60 dew to spin and the BFGs.

Message: 8.063 with spinning through 1st. i have new tires that are a foot wide. they grab good and a home made intake that made a huge difference.
i think if i grab i should run in the 7sec range.
do you know you time?
btw that was on a g-tech thing.

my time is around 9.7 spinning like half way through 1st which goes to 40 mph for me

Message: i don't know how accurate it is because it said my friends r/t was running 15.5 and its s/c and has a full exhaust system with no cats. they supposely run a 15.1 stock.
hey thats pretty damn good for a heavy a$$ truck.
but the 2 extra cylinders aren't just there for the sound.
if you where running with that jeep than you would probably take a chevy s-10 4.3. are jeep was beating my friends s-10 4.3.

its what they will use in the car magazines to get all of those times. 0-10-20-30-40-50-60-70-80-90-100mph and 1/4 times
it plugs into the power outlet and you place it in the middle of your windshield. it calibrates its self and than says "start when ready"

Message: his truck hasn't been chip so the truck was bonce off the rev limiter in ever gear. i think the truck would pull 14.00 because it hauls a$$.
i think its pretty damn accurate because my truck ran right around were i thought it would.
one day i will run my truck down the drag and tell you how accurate it was.
