Message: If he had an SRT-6 you would have been his dust whether you were racing or not. The Crossfire is an SLK based chasis with the 3.2L V6 in it. This motor generates in the league of 240 or so HP (not positive on exact figure). The SRT6 uses the AMG derived motor that can put out a good 310 or so...
In short, the Crossfire is a neat car, although probably not my pick in a sports car. Unfortunatly I don't think they've sold particularly well either.

Message: Nope, but I try to keep current reading Car and Driver, and having grown up around cars, I've ridden in plenty of neat rides. Never driven a Crossfire personally, but the numbers were pretty impressive for the SRT6.

Message: Yeah, the newer ones have more power than before, but they suck at roadhandling. C/D did a comparo a while back I think. Said it was close to the M-B SLK equivalent, but did not have as good grip and the suspension was way too soft. Not really a sports car in their opinion.

Message: Yeah. Speaking of working for DC, I actually live pretty close to the Chrysler Proving grounds out here in AZ. Unfortunately, it's getting sold to developers. :-(
Ah well. There's still Ford, Volvo, GM, Case, John Deere, and Internationl who do hot weather testing out here. It's kind of cool to see the cars drive by with the pads all over.
