Let me get this right.....You went 177mph in a 4500lb car with about 450hp????? And to top it off you went 145mph on a 1977 Harley, where the new Harleys top out at about 110 for the fatboys and around 130mph for the VRod!!!!! Wow...you must think there are a bunch of kids on this site.

Dodge then came out with a much-improved redesign of the Charger in 1968 model year. Featuring a Coke bottle-shaped profile, the Bill Brownlie-designed body had a wide-mouth grille with hidden headlights and a pert upturned spoiler on the decklid. The pillarless greenhouse had a very fast rear roofline tapering into the trunk. With "mag" wheels and white-lettered tires, it certainly had curb appeal. The unibody chassis relied on mundane independent front suspension with a horse-and-buggy leaf spring-live axle rear suspension. And the engine? The 426 hemi, right? Well, sometimes. But most Chargers were fitted with other Mopar engines, with the 440 cubic inch "wedge" engine, sporting 375 horsepower a popular choice for the street.

not sure on the new cummins ram, never tried to top it out yet, prolly 100mph or so
the dakota is messed up becuase of the speedo is 7mph slow so it cuts out at about 113, well at least thats what my little brother said, he was following in his 2000 ram with my old superchips

The Speed Record Of 200.447mph At Talladega Was Set On March 24,1970 By Buddy Baker In A Basically "STOCK" 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona .
That Record Held For 13 Years And Was Only Broken By 1mph In 1983 .

177 in a charger is 100% believable. no questions asked. i own a 70 440 challenger personally had it at 135 but the small8 t-bars were scary, and a 408 stroker 68 dart 4 speed and my brother has a 400 1970 charger 500. followed by my cousin who is nj statetrper i from a dead stop on i-195, i shut down at 4000 in 4th gear. and brother flew past me, i got like 2 car lengths on him by the time we hit about 110 he was on my ass in a second and flew past me. My Cousin clocked me at nearly 140 and brother nearly 165, thats a 440 truck motor, bored 10.5:1, mild cam. and 2.73 posi. chargers areodynamics are awesome. the dart was like a brick in the wind. but off the line he was beat

125 in a friends '71 Duster 340 wedge, without the passenger side fender no less. still had a little pedal left. pretty scary. speedo registered up to 160.
115 on my '78 Suzuki GS400N. scary also, bike only weighed 375lbs!

Kinda skeptical here - what kind of gearing you got going to manage that 177 and still have gear/engine left??? People who build up muscle cars don't usually do it for top end.
I've been 160+ in my Porsche turbo many times. Anyone who has been up to speed knows the hp vs. wind resistance war that takes place past 130 or so. Been 100+ in the Dakota a few times (not for very long), ~130 or so in Datsun Z cars (too light, kinda scarey), ~107 in a Dodge Cirrus rental (right where the limiter kicked in - and that was actually clocked by a very upset highway patrol who caught up to me a while later).

120 in 95 Dakota 5.2L with 5 speed and 3.91 gears before rev limiter kicked in. 135 in 70 Challenger 340 with 4 speed and 3.23 gears.
FYI 440 6 pack was rated 390 hp; 440 Super Commando/ Magnum 375 hp
