 Subject: ASP Pulleys

Has anyone put this asp pulley set on a 99 3.9L before? The sit I seen says I need a longer serp. belt. Do local auto parts stores sell this belt or is it a special order item? Are there any problems I should watch out for if I install these pulleys?

I have a 98 5.2 and i installed asp crank and alt. pulleys. They tell you in the instructions which belt to use (brandname is Gates)I took off the alt pulley because it was'nt charging.

The smaller alt. pulley allows the altenator to turn faster. Why wouldn't it charge when turning faster?

I recently got the 25% asp underdrive crank pulley from summit with a 94.5" gatorback belt. I have definitely had better throttle response. This is a good mod at an affordable price.
