Whasup! I went down to Moroso Motorsports Park tonight to run my truck finally! I wasnt too pleased with my times but I suppose their ok since the track conditions were less than favorable. It is obvious that i need to work on my launches and shifting. My best time ended up being 15.86@87.22
The truck is stock with only 3000 miles on the od, not to mention those horrible 215/75R15 tires on the 15x7 rims. I feel i could have managed a 15.5-15.6 if I could get my r.t. down and better launchs. What do you all think? PEACE!

BTW, on the way home I reached a top speed of 117mph. Im glad my speed limiter isnt 95-98 like most peoples! PEACE!

ooh an extra 2mph faster than my 98. thats ok,a honda civic will top out higher than your faster than life dak.

Kicker did you buy it off the lot?? I assume you did or you would have got the 3.92 LS with 16" wheels. I will be running mine this month also but have the 3.92 16's and LS. With the cold air intake Cat back and electric fan only I am hoping for 14.7 or better but we will see.
If you bought it off the lot most likely you have an open diferential which will make it very difficult if not impossible to get good launches with all that horse power and torque being sent to just one wheel. If you have the 15's I would change the tread at least as your first mod for they will never grab. The 15's also have skinny tires compared to the optional 16's which are 255/65.

sorry i dont know what e77t is. I dont care what my top speed is, so i dont need or want a civic. I was just wondering why you were bragging about going 2mph faster than previous dakotas when other lesspower full cars (like the honda civic) can top out at a higher speed than your mighty 4.7.
oh by the way, 20s wont fit on a civic.

kicker01, FYI reaction time has nothing to do with E.T. R.T. is from time you get green light until stage light goes out. E.T. is from time stage light goes out until end of 1320 (or 660 for 1/8 mile).

thanks, i didnt know that. I feel with a little more practice at launching i should be able to produce better ET's.
