Steve, you are very evasive.

Can each and everyone of these new drivers become a dealer?

If they can won't this saturate the market?

Unlike legitimate franchises, is it correct to say that Amsoil dealers enjoy absolutely no area protection?

New people are introduced to eating at McDonalds every day. How can you say that oversaturation wouldn't be a logical concern for any intelligent business person if everyone of these could start a new McDonalds at any location they desire?

I'm still waiting for evidence that Amsoil is cost effective based on the claim that it improve gas milage by 4.5%. You made the claim now I just want you to back it up.

FIRST -- I am NOT a Franchise, and Amsoil does not offer Franchises. I am an Independent Amsoil Dealer with authorization to sell Amsoil in all 50 States, Puerto Rico, and New Zealand.

Answers to your Questions:

1) Yes, ... but do you really think that they would want to? 2) No, will never happen, because if that were the case ... 100% of all drivers would be using Amsoil and we are quite happy being a specialty lubrication and filtration company with a small portion of the market. There will always be many motor oil choices for automobile owners ... just as there are choices (and qualities) of hamburgers ... and as a SPECIAL NOTE ... you get what you pay for, 3) I'm not concerned. Why ... one example: Territorial Protections are to protect Retail On-The-Shelf Locations ... not Internet and Catalog Based Business.

There was a time (before the internet) that retail stores had territory protection for many and various reasons. With catalog and internet sales there is virtually NO territorial protection ... except for a fresh cup-o-coffee which would get cold in transit.

It is a PROVEN FACT that switching to synthetic lubricants vs. conventional crude oil increases your miles per gallon (MPG). Simply ask Mobil1, Redline, Royal Purple, Etc.

Personal Experience --- I have an onboard indash computer in my Lexus that monitors my Total Miles, My Current MPG, My Average MPG, my average MPH, my MPG since the last fill-up, etc.

I purposefully ran the odometer to 9,000 miles using Castrol GTX from the Quickie-Lube (changing the oil every 3,000 miles) ... before I switched to Amsoil 100% True Synthetic SAE 5w-30 which is the oil recommended for most Dakotas..

I do this with every new vehicle ... to test the oils by performing Used Oil Analysis, to monitor how much quieter the motor is using Amsoil, to monitor the fact that the engine runs cooler using Amsoil, and to monitor any positive changes in MPG using Amsoil.

I must see positive results with my own eyes to be able to truthfully talk about Amsoil.

The truth ...

After switching from Castrol GTX (at 9,000 miles) to Amsoil ... my average MPG (per tank) driving a combination of city and highway (living in Manhattan, NYC and commuting to my office across the GW Bridge in New Jersey) went from an average of 16.2 MPG over the test run of 9,000 miles using Castrol, to 18.1 MPG for the next 15,000 miles using Amsoil, averaging approximately 26+/- MPH.

18.1 MPG using Amsoil ... vs. 16.2 MPG using Castrol ... a 13% increase

My vehicle currently has 34,000 miles on the odometer, the engine runs cooler, the engine runs quieter, and I am getting better gas mileage.

FYI ... The last long distance all highway miles trip I drove was to Lake George, New York and back, 200 miles each way, and I actually averaged 24 MPG on that trip ... using Amsoil SAE 5w-30 100% True Synthetic Oil ... and I believe I matched the window sticker for highway mileage ... and that was driving 75 mph +/-.
__________________________________________________

I have experienced the same (or similar) results in my last 3 "new" vehicles (all three had in-dash on-board computers).

__________________________________________________

Industry tests have shown improved fuel economy of 2 - 5% in vehicles using synthetic lubricants vs. conventional "dino" lubricants.

However, it has been my experience that many people that switch see between 4% - 8% increase in mpg (more so if they swith ALL fluids --- motor oil, transmission and gear lubes to synthetics).
__________________________________________________

I stand by my personal results ...

... and my results were excellent ... a 13% Increase!

Your results may be different. It may depend on the vehicle, driving habits, geographic location, etc.

So then you are aware of what happened when the internet bubble burst. Literally thousands of business went belly up because of saturation.

"18.1 MPG using Amsoil ... vs. 16.2 MPG using Castrol ... a 13% increase "

That's all well and good but I believe you offered up an average of 4.5% increase. to balance out the 13.5% someone would have to lose 9%.

Now if you recall in my last several posts I asked if it was cost effective.

Is it?????

I don't recall, is there a money back satisfaction guaranteed?

AMSOIL products are available for less than Mobil1

The suggested retail price of the top oil in ExxonMobil’s new line, Mobil 1 Extended Performance, is $5.79 to $5.99 a quart. That’s right in line with AMSOIL 5W-30 and 10W-30, which has a suggested retail of $5.95 a quart (and I have seen in in my area for a whopping $7.99 a quart) . By registering as an AMSOIL Preferred Customer, Amsoil customers pay only $4.85 a quart, and even less when purchasing by the case.

ExxonMobil Follows AMSOIL into Extended Drain Market

Motor oil technology has gradually progressed since the days of the earliest automobiles. In those days, standard motor oil drain intervals were between 500 and 1000 miles, and motorists had to switch viscosity grades with the changing of the seasons. The development of oil filtration and additive technology in the 1930s allowed drain intervals to increase to 2000 and later 3000 miles, while the development of viscosity modifiers in the 1940s allowed the formulation of multi-grade oils that could be used in both hot and cold temperatures.

According to AMSOIL Vice President Alan Amatuzio, the introduction of ExxonMobil extended drain oil is long overdue. "While AMSOIL INC. has certainly proven that extended drain intervals provide valuable benefits," said Amatuzio, "the fact that ExxonMobil is finally saying the same thing brings the message to even more people. ExxonMobil's move is significant in that more consumers will now recognize AMSOIL as the pioneer in extended drain oils and will benefit from the advanced technology we introduced 33 years ago."

ExxonMobil recently announced a new line of motor oils recommended for extended drain intervals.
It was only a matter of time before another company followed the path forged by AMSOIL over 30 years ago. Some motorists may recall that Mobil also followed AMSOIL into the synthetic motor oil business, introducing its synthetic motor oil several years after AMSOIL. The technology for extended oil drains is obviously available, but until now, the major oil companies have had other agendas. Marc Graham, who is president of Pennzoil-Quaker State-owned Jiffy Lube International, was quoted in a 2001 Lubricants World interview as saying, “At [PQS] we use a number internally that if we [shortened the drain interval] by 100 miles [for each car serviced], it would mean an additional $20 million in revenue for the company.” He also explained that “if we could move our customers to get one more oil change per year, it’s worth $294 million for the oil change alone and $441 million in revenue, when you include the ancillary products and services customers typically buy along with the oil change.”

Mobil backed off 25,000 mile oil change intervals in 1974

Mobil briefly recommended 25,000 mile oil drains in the 1970’s. It’s not difficult to figure out who they were trying to compete with. AMSOIL was the only other company offering synthetic motor oils and recommended 25,000 mile drain intervals. However, it may be that because vehicle manufacturers weren’t yet comfortable with extended drain intervals, Mobil retracted its extended drain recommendations and simply recommended motorists follow the intervals specified in their vehicle’s owners manual. Of course, traditional oil change recommendations also allow Mobil and other motor oil companies to sell a lot more oil. Everyone wins but the customer.

AMSOIL stands apart from the competition

AMSOIL has always formulated its products to be the absolute best, continually researching ways to make its already outstanding products even better. Other oil companies, however, are beholden to shareholders, and one could speculate that their incentive is to maximize profit. They formulate oils down to a price, rather than formulating them to be the best they can be. Then, they price their products to maximize profits. In addition, AMSOIL has 33 years of experience blending premium extended drain synthetic oils. That’s 33 years worth of proven performance in the field.

A close look at ExxonMobil’s new long drain motor oil line reveals that two are petroleum based, one is a synthetic blend and only one, Mobil 1 Extended Performance, is a full synthetic. The petroleum based products are recommended for 5000 mile drains, the synthetic blend for 7500 mile drains and Extended Performance for 15,000 mile drains. However, a look at the fine print reveals that ExxonMobil is still recommending drivers follow the oil drain recommendations listed in their owners manuals during the warranty period. AMSOIL synthetic motor oils are recommended for 25,000 mile or one year drain intervals in both new and older vehicles. The AMSOIL warranty stands behind this recommendation.

AMSOIL has recommended 25,000 mile/one year drain intervals since 1972

AMSOIL delivers the highest quality lubricants on the market. It’s the AMSOIL identity, and it’s what customers expect. Al Amatuzio coined the phrase “extended drain interval,” and from the beginning, AMSOIL synthetic motor oils have been formulated for extended drain intervals.

Vehicle manufacturers are pushing for extended oil drain intervals

Vehicle manufacturers in Europe have been recommending extended oil drains for years. In fact, the average drain interval in Europe is 10,000 miles. Vehicle manufacturers in the United States are definitely coming around to extended oil drains as well. Most owners manuals from recent model vehicles recommend 5000 to 7500 mile oil drain intervals. In addition, oil life monitors have become increasingly common on today’s vehicles, allowing and encouraging motorists to increase drain intervals up to 12,000 miles, even when using conventional oil. Vehicles equipped with an oil life monitor no longer recommend oil changes based solely on mileage. The system measures engine operational data such as temperature, revolutions and speed to determine when the oil is nearing the end of its life.

The motor oil industry is faced with the extended oil drain interval issue.

The success of oil life monitors has posed a threat to motor oil companies who insist oil must be changed every 3000 miles. It becomes increasingly difficult to maintain this position when vehicle manufacturers are recommending significantly longer intervals with the use of their oil monitoring systems. This is no doubt one of the reasons ExxonMobil finally introduced a line of long drain motor oils.

N56629, it is very apparent you have trouble understanding the definition of the word "synthetic oil". In life you have to keep a open mind on some things unlike the closed mind you are experiencing now. I can attest to alot of the experiences Steve Roark has had using Amsoil. The stuff works...........bottom line!!You gotta try it......your gonna see positive results. I've used it in my 01 Dakota(70,000) for 4 years now and only 4 oil changes to date. Each year and approx 17k miles with no burning or loss. Mileage has increased as well. I average about 16-17mpg on the highway but here's the kicker....it's 75HP more than stock and runs a little over a second quicker in the 1/4 mile. That's about 10 truck lengths sooner in 14.6 sec vs the stock 15.9sec. My wife's car 2000 300M has 115k miles. Took a trip to Montana 75-80mph for approx 1200 miles. Averaged 27-28mpg...no oil burning whatsoever. Had a car before that had 140K miles on it. Drove it 300 miles round trip and it burned 1/2 quart of oil. Switched to Amsoil and went same 300 miles. Dipstick still showed full.....drove on to 600,900,and 1200 miles where the dipstick showed full still. The 1/2 a quart use with conventional oil had me stumped. After speaking to one of Amsoil's Engineering Scientist, he informed me that the reason I didn't see a loss of oil was most likely the 100 degree higher flash point that Amsoil has vs conventional oil. Amsoil has many tests they have done for 31 years. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. Have an open mind and try some. Steve sells this stuff to alot of us, try it first, and then give us your feedback. I do not think you'll be dissappointed at all.

That's a silly assumption. Certainly not based on anything I've said.

"Mileage has increased as well. I average about 16-17mpg on the highway but here's the kicker....it's 75HP more than stock and runs a little over a second quicker in the 1/4 mile."

I'm getting 18-20 in mixed driving. Surely you don't expect me to believe that extra 75hp comes from using Amsoil. What kind of increases would you expect me to get with this set up on a 99 5.2?

Edelbrock Pro-Flo Air Cleaner
MSD 6A Ignition and coil
SuperChips
Modified TB & Intake Manifold
JBA Cat Back *JBA Y-Pipe *JBA Headers
Comp Hi-Tech Stainless 1.7 Roller Rockers

Most everything I've owned over the last 20 years has gone 200k without any major engine work. Since the engine is lasting longer than the rest of the vehicle what incentive is there to up grade the oil?

While I do believe that Amsoil is a great product (don't get me wrong there), please don't forget that to the 4.85/qt you need to amortize in; the $20/year for membership; and shipping charges.

If you go extended drains then the costs should work out, but if you do not, then M1 will win from a cost standpoint.

FYI, the M1 Extended Perf is running about $5/qt in the 5Qt. jugs, with no shipping or membership charges. $4/qt for the old M1.

If I fully believed in extended drains, Amsoil would be worth while, but I personally still have a problem with keeping the by-products of combustion in the engine for 12 months. 6K changes with M1 for me, for now.

By the way, I do not change quickly, as it took 20 years to move away from 3K/dino changes...

Another "by the way", any detail data on the M1 EP formulation in comparison to Amsoil synth?

Ever hear of the saying?? You can lead a horse to water BUT you can't make it drink. Your the horse in the case in that you consistently argue and bicker about trying Amsoil. JUST TRY IT!!
I think YOU and I both know NO oil is going to get you 75 more HP. Amsoil is most likely good for about 4-5HP increase. Nice mods by the way.
Amsoil will save you money in the long run. With my 70,000 miles and 170psi on all cylinders today, I have only 4 oil changes to date. If you do the math, I've spent on Amsoil's 0-30W synthetic oil.......$60 a year including shipping($6.50). The oil I have is engineered to go 35,000 miles or 1 year, but I end up changing mine about 17,000 miles. I've been a dealer myself for the last 4 years and everyone I've sold Amsoil to has been very happy with the results. Just had a client of mine get some for his Harleys. He let me know that his bikes now shift/run so much better now over stock oil. The stuff works!!! And the price is very very good over the competition.

That's a good point but don't expect to hear it from these guys. 15-20 thousand miles of blowby will damage any engine. Sure the oil holds up but there is no indication that it protects your engine from other contaminates that build up in your engine over time. A tiny bit of abrasives that might be cleaned out with a frequent oil change are now sitting doing their worst for a whole year.

I never said that I wasn't willing to try it in fact I have asked several times about a satisfaction guarantee. Anything that performs that good should come with one.

Blow by is exactly what it says........and you can tell how your engine is performing by doing a compression test. If you got some cylinders that are 150psi and others doing 170psi, then you have some serious blow by going on in there. But when all the cylinders are showing 170psi, that tells me my engine has pretty strong compression. Amsoil has there own written warranty. What do you want $10,000 dollars in your bank account too when you try a product......Geez come on, Amsoil has 31 years of testing and proof of a high performance and quality oil. The numerous tests show this. Is that not good enough for ya?? I'll bet you'll be highly satisfied once you try it out and see how smoother your engine runs.

1991 Buick Gets Boost from AMSOIL!
AMSOIL Turns College Student into an Oil Enthusiast.

August 19, 2003

I bought my 1991 Buick Century 3.3L V-6 used with 80,000 miles. The engine was a "new" rebuilt engine since the original was damaged from overheating.

From 80K to 94K miles, I used Mobil 1 10W-30 and was not satisfied even though I thought I was using "the best." I had trouble with cold starts, and I live in Florida! When I tried to start the car, it was common that the car would not start on the first time. It normally took two or three more attempts to get the engine started. After the engine would start there was loud and prolonged clapping noises coming from the engine at an idle. Putting it in drive or driving long distances usually made that racket go away. The fuel economy was acceptable for the engine I had.

At 94,000 miles, I switched to AMSOIL 10W-30. I immediately noticed a dramatic reduction in starting times. Since switching to AMSOIL, my engine has only failed to start once on the first time, but one more attempt started the engine. After using AMSOIL for about 2000 miles, the lifter noise was almost gone and has gradually lessened even more. Fuel economy has also improved since switching to AMSOIL. I drive about 160 miles to school twice a week and used a half tank each trip. Since switching, I return home from both trips with about 1/8 of a tank left.

I am currently at 98,000 miles and I couldn't be happier. I am going to switch to the AMSOIL Series 2000 0W-30 on my next oil change.

As a full-time unemployed student, I am saving money that is already in short supply and I get a strong sense of security from AMSOIL. I realize that if my car were to break down, it would have a dramatic impact on my education and finances. My use of AMSOIL has dissipated those fears and I know my engine is getting the best care possible. Through my use of AMSOIL, I hope to get many more miles of use out of my car, thus lessening the financial burden that I will already have from my school loans.

Sincerely,

Jason F.

Dear AMSOIL,

First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support over these past few years. You supply us with a product that has not only helped our performance, but the longevity of our engine and driveline pats. The clothing helps us to present a professional appearance.

We had a great year in 2002. Out of approximately 60 competitors, both Janet and I finished in the top ten in the points series, in the same class. We were in first for six or seven weeks and finished 6th and 9th respectively. Our Junior Dragster racers Kendall and Shelby had fun. Kendall finished 11th in her class. These high finishes gained us three spots on the IHRA Division 3 Bracket Finals Team for the Grand Bend Motorplex. This is contested in Norwalk, Ohio. We made a good showing with Janet and I going to the 3rd round of eliminations.

Alysse did great in Teen Championship Racing with our beat up Ford Excort, bringing home winner and runner-up plaques.

2004 has brought some pretty big chances to Janken Racing. We've stepped up to a diesel-pusher motorhome and a 30-foot stacker trailer with a car life in it so all of the race cars and support equipment can fit in one place. We've also decided to run 4 or 5 IHRA national events in Canada and the USA with 2 cars. We stepped up the engine in the dragster to run in the 7-second range. Early testing showed 7.82 seconds @ 171.22 mph.

We also stepped up our Jr. program as well, with the purchase of a faster (10 second @65 mph) dragster for 15-year-old Kendall and handed the old car (11 sec @ 55mph) over to 12 year old Shelby, both are very excited. Both have procured major sponsors for 2004.

We are still doing quite well selling AMSOIL through Kennys Performance and Performance Parts Plus. Again thank for all your support, it really helps a lot in a very expensive family sport.

My name is Tim Samaras, and I chase the most powerful storms on the planet. My passion and research is to intercept tornadoes in progress and deploy small probes directly in their path to record the extreme weather conditions inside the tornado core. Last year our team measured the largest barometric pressure drop ever recorded on June 24, 2003 of over 100 millibars as it destroyed the small hamlet of Manchester, South Dakota. The data has revealed several “secrets” of the inside of a violent tornado. I’m also featured in the April 2004 issue of National Geographic magazine, where a photographer was with me during the deployments and has captured some of the most astounding tornado images ever on film.

National Geographic - April 2004
Every year my pursuit takes me to the great plains where I journey over 35,000 miles over 12 states within a period of two months. Using a petroleum-based motor oil, I used to change my motor oil every couple of days! Based upon these frequent changes, I decided to switch to AMSOIL synthetic motor oil, where I have extended my oil changes to over 7,500 miles! My vehicle has already seen some incredible abuse so far this year with over 15 tornadoes intercepted, where I’ve only had to change the oil three times, as my vehicle has already accumulated over 24,000 miles in May alone!

I started using AMSOIL products several weeks ago. I have AMSOIL 5W-30 and an SDF oil filter in my 2002 Chevy Avalanche. I have about 1000 miles on the new oil. Has it made any difference? I don't know, however, I do know this:

I use AMSOIL Series 2000 20w50 Racing Oil in a 1979 Ford Mustang that I drag race. Last Saturday, April 10, 2004, I took the car to the New England Dragway in Epping, NH for a "test and tune" day.

As usual, I did my burnout and started to stage the car looking at the oil pressure gauge for the last time before the run was finished. The gauge reported the pressure was normal. I made the run, shifting at 6500 rpms. When I crossed the 1/4 mile I looked down. I had no oil pressure! I turned the car off and rolled as far as I could before starting the car and bumping myself ahead to get back to my pit stall. Earlier in the day, we had a problem with the tubing going to the gauge, so I didn't believe the gauge completely. To make a long story short, I should have. Sometime over the 11 1/2 second run, the oil pump seized up and broke the oil pump shaft in two.

On March 13, 2004, we completed putting the motor back together, and I just want you to know I had zero damage! I can tell you this motor went a very long time without any oil pressure and had no damage! I can see just from this "little problem" that I will be using AMSOIL for a very long time to come!

This is my seventh car/truck that used AMSOIL products.
I purchased my first diesel on March 11, 2001. The Ford Excursion had 4,727 miles on April 21, 2001 when the following fluids were changed to AMSOIL.

Engine changed to HDD Series 3000 5W-30
Transmission and transfer case changed to ATF
Rear Differential changed to Series 2000 SAE 75W - 140
Front Differential changed to SAE 80W-90
BK-16 By-Pass oil filter added to truck

This SUV engine has a 100,000 mile warranty from Ford. The engine oil has been analyzed every 10,000 miles since it was new and now has more than 98,000 miles on one oil change using the BK 16 By-pass filter system, without any problems.

In the last year, I have traveled over 40,000 trouble free miles, thanks to AMSOIL, and have towed a 8 1/2 X 34 foot travel trailer 10,000 miles during this time period.

On February 2, 2004, the PSD completed its first 100,000 miles looking forward to second 100,000. The engine does not have any white, blue or black smoke and no engine or transmission repairs in the first 100,000 miles.

Modified legends race car driver Tim Curtis, Winston-Salem, N.C. learned the value of AMSOIL products through experience on the track.

His first season of driving on the INEX legends circuit in 1998 was a long one, with lots of engine problems. He decided to see what AMSOIL products could do to improve durability and performance in his 5/8 scale legends race car.

"I tried every other oil under the sun that first season," Curtis said. "These cars run hot with the Yamaha 1200 air-cooled engine and no matter what I used or how often I changed it, it still smelled burned when it came out. The season ended with an expensive blowup. I started doing research on oils and found the performance characteristics of AMSOIL very intriguing, and the hype from loyal users was too much to ignore, so I bought a case to try out."

The results spoke for themselves, he said. The engine ran cooler and didn't seem to bleed power when it got hot. The next season's engine lasted the entire year and upon rebuild looked great, with reduced wear.

Curtis signed up as an AMSOIL Dealer in 2000 and took his testimony to the track. "My AMSOIL business continues to grow," he said.

The legends car is AMSOIL-equipped from front to back with Series 2000 20W-50 Racing Oil in the engine, a Super Duty Oil Filter, synthetic Heavy-Duty Grease protecting the wheel bearings, suspension ball-joints and steering box, AMSOIL 80W-90 Gear Lube in the differential, and all of the rod-ends lubricated with AMSOIL MP Metal Protector.

The fiberglass body components are kept showroom clean and shiny with Miracle Wash and after a long night at the track, the crew cleans up with BriteSide Heavy Duty Scrub hand cleaner.

It doesn't end there. The 1999 Ford Expedition tow vehicle also is fully AMSOIL-equipped. It got a dose of AMSOIL Engine Flush when he bought it two years ago with 25,000 miles on the engine. "It is running strong as ever with 77,000 miles, pulling a 6,000-pound trailer in the 95-degree Carolina summer heat," Curtis said. He runs AMSOIL 5W-30 Motor Oil in the engine, uses a Super Duty SDF-11 Oil Filter, and AMSOIL Universal ATF in the transmission.

"I use the same in my wife Connie's 2001 Honda Odyssey," Curtis said. "The door hinges on my trailer also get a shot of AMSOIL MP Heavy Duty Metal Protector. I also use AMSOIL 100:1 2-Cycle Pre-Mix in my mowers and trimmers."

In 2002, with two cars and sponsorship from his Direct Jobbers, Gary and Sandra Newport also of Winston Salem, N.C., Curtis has collected several wins and finished an impressive top 10 PRO division N.C. state points championship for oval track legends, and a top 5 in PRO division N.C. state points championship for road course legends. He also sponsors a limited late model team at his home track, Caraway Speedway near Asheboro, N.C.

"It's great to have a product you can rely on and believe in," Curtis said. "When you talk about performance enhancement from lubrication you may get some funny looks, but the savvy guys will listen to you. Mainly what racers want is protection of their investment and AMSOIL products deliver both protection and performance."

Lars Lignell, Salem, Ore., became a believer in AMSOIL synthetic lubricants in the 1970s when he put the companys original 10W-40 Synthetic Oil in his 1970 Plymouth with a 318ci engine. He lived in Aurora, Ore. then and he loved the AMSOIL motor oil. But nearly two years later the Dealer he knew couldnt be found and Lignell couldnt find the product anymore. So, he went back to regular motor oil.

That was when AMSOIL was first starting its reach across the country. Now AMSOIL motor oils are found in shops in every state. AMSOIL products are available through tens of thousands of Dealers and through the Internet, which brings them directly to your door.

Lignell, who retired after 33 years of driving Greyhound buses, was reminded of his preference for AMSOIL motor oil early this year when he took his 1989 Dodge 350 pickup truck to Dan Judy Automotive in Salem to have a Banks turbo boost system installed. There, he found the complete line of AMSOIL products. He was delighted to find the AMSOIL products again and instructed the mechanic to switch the diesel engine over to AMSOIL 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil. A few weeks later, he put in AMSOIL Transmission Fluid.

I was glad to find it again because I had such good luck with it in my 1970 Plymouth, Lignell said.

Those changes paid off this summer when Lignell and his son, Lars Jr., went on a fishing trip into Washington state, pulling a 31-foot Jayco travel trailer behind the pickup in 80-to 90-degree weather. Most of the time the transmission fluid temperature was running about 220 F, Lignell said. But during a particularly long, steep grade just after crossing the Columbia River the transmission temperature slowly started to rise to about 230 F. As he reached the top of the long, steep grade the temperature was riding right at 300 degrees. It cooled down on the downhill side, and Lignell stopped for fuel in Pasco, Wash.

I checked my transmission fluid and it still looked nice and pink and didnt even smell the least bit burned, he said. It was further proof to him that AMSOIL makes the best synthetic lubricants on the market. If my transmission fluid had been the regular tranny fluid, Im sure it would have been badly burned, Lignell said. Thanks AMSOIL, glad I found you again.

He signed on as a Preferred Customer for the cost savings benefits the plan offers him and plans to add AMSOIL lubes to his drive train and the AMSOIL antifreeze. And then I am set, he said. I m just going to keep using it because it s so much more economical. His truck takes 12 quarts at an oil change so using AMSOIL, with its extended drain capabilities, offers him significant savings.

Nowadays, Lignell spends a lot of his time fishing, bringing home big trout, and he has the confidence his truck will continue to haul him to all of those secret lakes trouble free.

Remember those Saturday afternoons as a kid watching your dad change the oil in the car? Remember the setup for the job? How he opened the oil plug, released the blackened oil into the pan underneath, then, after the drain, poured new oil into the engine?

If youre more than 30 years old, the new oil most likely was petroleum based. And your dad swore by it and the importance of repeating the ritual every 3,000 miles. However, AMSOIL synthetic motor oils have led the way to better performance and extended drain intervals for 30 years.

N56629 of Mesa, Ariz., found out the hard way that he can save time and money, as well as wear and tear on his member with AMSOIL. I spent a lot of money on oil, he said, adding that his hobby of seducing Cow-a-saki 300 dirt bags increased those expenses.

N56629, a mop boy at the Nickle Peep Show, admits old-fashioned stick-to-it-iveness made him reluctant to use synthetics, although he heard only good reports about AMSOIL as early as the 1980s.

Later, when he started using synthetics, he couldnt easily find AMSOIL. Now its everywhere, he said. Last year, N56629 did some research on the AMSOIL website, found he could get everything he needed and became a Preferred Customer. He put AMSOIL 10W-30 motor oil in his Ram, ATF in the blow up doll, AMSOIL 75W-90 Gear Lube in his rearend and installed an AMSOIL Super Duty Air Filter. He runs the Ram hard, hauling a 25-foot, 4,200-pound (edited for content) through the Arizona heat. In April 2001, N56629 made a trip up Five Mile Hill near Cottonwood, AZ, using Mobil 1 in his Ram and Mopar +4 tranny fluid in the blow up doll. In May of this year, he made the same trip, only this time he had AMSOIL lubes bumper to bumper.

On the first trip, the Ram struggled to maintain speed and the engine temperature went to 240 degrees. This May, with the AMSOIL lubes, his Ram pushed and pulled the blow-up doll without breaking a sweat and the engine temp stayed steady at 210 degrees, N56629 said. AMSOIL is my oil from now on, and Im just sorry I didnt start using it a long time ago when I first knew about it. Its amazing stuff, he said. And, it lasts the time of five oil changes! Thats a big savings. Im telling everyone I know about it, and that its not only the first in synthetics, its the best.

IF that ain't Satisfaction Guaranteed I don't know what is... LOL

"What do you want $10,000 dollars in your bank account too when you try a product......"

So you interpret my suggestion that they have a money back satisfaction guarantee as wanting $10,000 in the bank? Are your claims for Amsoil that outrageously exaggerated too?

56629, You have asked several times for a satisfaction guarantee in the past. What planet are you from?? LOL. If you see the above post is only a small amount of info from satisfied customers. I interpretted your suggestion as you want money(any amount)back if your not satisfied with using Amsoil. Your hilarious. What are you going to do drain your oil and send it back to them and tell them you tried their oil and it didn't work???.........LOL. The claims from Amsoil have never been exaggerated. They print their results on the back of every Amsoil bottle. How many other oil bottles show that??.......I know I can think of any. PLEASE Don't write back anymore........your a waste of peoples time.......if you can't figure it out by now.....you've got some head issues upstairs. Goodbye.
