Subject: Where to buy M1 intake? IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys,
Where do I get one and how much usually for an M1 intake for my 99 R/T?I thought about just getting my factory intake ported, but I'm still leaving about 30 horsepower on the table.I got a price from my local Dodge dealer about 400 bucks. That includes an installation kit.

Message: Check out www.socaldakota.com and ask for Sam. Tell him I sent you. I'm certain he can easily beat that price.

Message: Best deal I found is Monicatti Chrysler in Detroit. P5007852 $320.45. Ask for employee discount deal = 290. Best deal I've found so far. After all Right now they have employee pricing for everyone. I think the install kit was around $45.

Message: By the way if sam at SOCAL dakota will match it I would probably buy it from him. (I always think supporting the little guy is a better prospect) Plus he has always been extremely helpful and knowledgable. Seams like a great guy to have around the sport.

Message: I bought mine last year from Lawrence at www.mopartsracing.com. Good guy to deal with. I think I paid $440 shipped for the M1, install kit, gaskets and a couple other odds and ends.

Message: Thanks guys.It seems to me that 400 bucks out the door is not that bad of a price.Besides,it's local.I won't have to get it shipped.Ok,do I want the egr or non egr version and 2 or 4 barrel?

Message: You want the 2-bbl. 4-bbl will require additional fabrication and an adapter to work with your TB. Get the EGR version. That way it is pre drilled for a turtle if you decide to go that route. Just use a NPT pipe plug to plug the hole in the meantime.
