Message: Bernd, you were right, i do have an MPI on my '93 Dakota 5.2L, so can you tell me if i can still put a TB on there and what other stuff do i have to do/buy to make it fit?

You sure can....
You probably have the older-style "box" intake on your TB...so what you can do it either stick a round 14x3" K&N Air Filter on it...or ,even better, grab an airhat from a '97+ Dakota/Durango and use the intake tube system. (The Round filter will run about $40-$60 and the airhat is about $70 from the dealer).
As for the actual TB, Hughes engines has stock casting replacements (that have been modified though) that should fit...or...Bruce has his 48 and 50mm Billet TB's with custom linkage. He does have a model that will fit the '93 trucks.

Message: Thanks for the info, i already have a K&n filter on my dak (the round kind), i also have a flowmaster cat-back system on it...i will check out the hughes TB...thanks for help...

Message: Make sure you dont go with a 14X4 element. The hood will close but after a while it will put dimples on your hood. Thats how I got stuck with a scoop. It was fun taking a sawzall to my hood.

OUCH! I know the feeling though...had a slightly too tall filter on the old Javelin, closed the hoos, now I have a nice dimple in it. :(
