Message: Bruce e-mailed me that the F&B billet TB's will be released around the end of the month. There will be a 70 mm and a 72 mm. Damn, Bee-otch. That's gonna make some serious power. Just be patient, it'll be worth the wait.

Message: From what I discussed with Bruce today, it's a 69 and 70mm version...we'll see what happens on the final production unit...which is being sent to the anodizer by the end of this week.
BTW: We sturck a deal with Intense Performance on offering a custom intake tube (with filter) for the new throttle body.

Message: Just got off the phone with Bruce...yes, a 72mm will be built, but they are ONLY recommended for the folks with the custom programmed PCM's with no rev-limiter and custom cat-back systems. They are of no use to the standard 4.7L with the factory 5200rpm rev-limiter.
Versions that will be available:
69, 70, and 72mm

Message: Bernd-I've heard folks talk about this Rev limiter. I have a '00 4.7 4x4 CC 40,000 miles. Got it last year June. I have yet to encounter this rev limiter and I drive the balls of my truck. I drive 72 miles to work everyday, and have had the truck up over 100mph. Is this rev limiter something they changed mid production year?

Message: The 4.7's really start to wake up at higher rpm's. I was referring to 5500-6000rpm range where you'll need the extra breathing room from the 72mm TB. The 5-Speeds don't seem to have as many of the "safety" features as the automatics (Speed Limiter/Rev-Limiter) but it's still there.
Over 100mph in a 4x4...uhhhh...you running All Terrain tires? They're rated to 112mph. I wouldn't recommend that you attempt to find out anything higher than that. ;)
Normal Speed Limiter is 115 on manuals and about 98mph on automatics. Rev-limiter is 5200-5500rpm max.
But we all know how consistent Mopar is with their PCM's...someone could have received a "oopsie" without either from the factory.

Message: I got my 4x4 4.7 over 110 and didnt even think
about the tires. Thanks for the tip. I had work
done from the dealer. They reprogramed the
PCM so I think the limiter is not on there. They
also did the cat back exaust. I want to know if
the intake I have will give enough air with the
throtle bodie. I have an intake that mates up to
the hood with a tube about 4inches wide.
Then it goes through the air box. I wonder if I
would be better off with an open air
element???? Any answers?

Message: Bernd. I have ran my truck out to about 5,600 RPM's with no rev limiter kicking in. I feeel the HP being produced right now to around 5,300-5,400 RPM's and then it drops sharply. I have the stock PCM and air filter for now. (I really like the looks of the Volant cold air intake) Is this because I am a 3.92 5 speed or is Canada's reg's less strict than the states??
Also should I hold off on a cold air inatke if I want a 72mm trottlebody? Will they even hook up and won't the narrower diameters of the after market intake or super charger tubing defeat the purpouse of such a wide TB opening.
Thanks.
