how well does the 4.7 hold up to boost? I have a 80,000 miles on my 00 dakota and I have been seriously contemplating picking up a supercharger for it. I would just like to get her to pick up some more ooomph. For the longest time I have wanted to get a lightning, but i really want the 4-wheel drive and i love the way my truck looks. I know i wont be able to hold a candle to a lightning even after the supercharger, but she will deffinately be alot more fun to drive.

thanks

I kinda want to get a new truck, but I love mine so much. I just want a little more oomph ,but I want to keep the 4wd. Decisions, decisions.

Don't sell the truck. It should hold up fine.

Don't get crazy with the boost without upgrading fuel and internals, and you'll be fine.

Hang with a Lightning? ha

The stock kits should work fine with your ride, and what better time to freshen up the motor and shoot for more boost?
