Try the basics first. Check all vacuum lines for cracks or just being 'off'. Run some fuel injector cleaner through it, the good stuff that comes in an aeresol which hooks up to the fuel port on the fuel rail (you'll have to disable the fuel pump for that one, which may throw a code and then you'll have to reset) Clean the TB (with proper cleaner) Check all conections at the injectors, sensors etc. If none of that works you could set the throtle blades open a bit more (you'll have to pull the 'plug' out of the throtle body at the adjuster. It's pretty obvious when you look at the R. side of the TB) Maybe it's something else, ignition related, perhaps. Water vapour under the dist. cap, bad pulg wires? Does it run fine once it's warmed up? ie: no stumble, sputtering etc?

I have had this problem caused by the IAC (idle air control) solenoid.

It is located on the rear of the TB and is held in place by two screws (torx). Remove it and try cleaning it and the opening in the throttle body where it mounts (and the passage through which the air flows).

This should be done periodically.

A new one costs about $40 at the parts house or about $70 at the Dealer.

Just light a fire under it about 15 minutes before you "fire it up".
