i need advice. i have a 2000 4.7 dakota with 65 mm throttle body. should i get a stock 68mm which is for sale, or go all the way and get a true 68. does my dakota need more than stock 68. some people must think so cause people upgrade them all the time and mine is even smaller. what should i do. also need intake manifold advice but i'll probably do that last if the t.b. is the bigger restriction.

Go F&B and you will have no problems. As far as intake manifold, I've heard from several people that the HO intake manifold really doesn't gain you anything worthwile unless you also do the cams, and exhaust, and even then it's minimal for the money and time involved.

If you want a "true 68mm," why not just have your 65mm modified to 68mm? If the one that's for sale is really a good deal, you could buy it, have it modded and no down time.
