it is definately passed the time intake was on e-bay. i was wondering what you did to modify intake. i have heard of the m-1 intake. which would be better. keep in mind that i am negotiating for a powerdyne super charger if that makes a difference.

That's a no brainer. Go with the M1 if you are planning to install a SC.

Message: Purp - my biggest concern is how much to cut the runners. What formula or rule of thumb are you using so that the air charge bounces back and reaches the cylinder as the valve is opening? Can you just work off the OEM tuning and trim the lengths to a smaller multiple?
I had this guy Chris from Horsepoweramerica.com in NY that I was going to hire to do the machine shop work on my stock'er but he doesn't return any of my emails or calls since the first email I sent. That really sucks.
I was in Lansdale again last night. My headache just went away, hehe. I need to drop in one of these times and say hey.

I have a hunch that most people just chop and hack up manifolds and throttle bodies based on what someone else has done. Start asking questions about pressure waves and effective cam duration and they get a stupid look on thier face. They pretty much think that one runner length fits all.
If they don't ask you the right questions about your application, you better start looking elsewhere.

Message: everyone thinks one runner fits all, but its how smoothly the air is directed into the runners. there still long to where i think it wouldnt matter if you cut another 1/2" off, but i never tried it. the m1, DakotaOwner01, has really short runners and is a single plane. compared to the beer barrel, while you can cut back the beer barrel all the way back to the wall and still have 12 inch runners. the one i had on ebay was like glass inside. they were cut back more at the top to grab more air instead of it coming from the bottom. between the runners was a sharp divide instead of the 1/4 inch hunk of metal. its not hard to modify one of these, you just have to think how the air is gonna flow and what parts its gonna hit while its flowing. i would be done my other one now, but i broke my carbide burr and im waiting for my new ones in the mail. the only reason im getting the m1 is my friend has it and i have to get that and then one-up him after that!

It's about timing the length to the pressure waves. Is the M1 designed to work with the first or second pressure wave? What cam profile works best with it? Is runner length measured at the outside or the inside of the curved runner? When you remove material, by cutting the runners shorter, do you consider the effects of increased plenum volume? If so, how do you correct it and how do arrive at the optimum volume? Why do you think that simply making runners shorter makes everything better?
