Message: Today while driving my 01 R/T I had a light on the dash come on. SERVICE 4WD. That's funny right there, Classic DODGE. So either ignore the light or go to the stealer and have them remove it. At how much? Just another great experience in my R/T! Way to go DODGE!

Message: lol Kevin,
You know on the emblem on the side of the door that says 5.9 R/T. You don't this emblem that is right next to it. It is the same color as your paint. "Money Pit"
You need to look real close. It's there i swear. lol
I just got done paying $2300 for a new torque convertor and a trans rebuild at 65k. Keep in mind, i changed my trans fluid and filter once a year and still had to get the darn thing rebuilt at 65k. hmmmmm

Message: Tim, I will buy a HONDA if you tell me how to service the 4WD on my R/T. Or better buy mine. I did post a topic a while back and ask to hear from Dodge buyers with NO repairs in the first 5 years of ownership and got not one reply? Why you ask?

Message: i say go to the dealership and insist that they repair the problem, not just turn off the light. the 4wd MUST be repaired before you leave.

Message: I bet it's just a simple sensor either on the transfer case or the front diff that went out. Go to autozone and get it scanned for free.

I think the point he's making is that his truck is NOT 4wd...yet he's getting a "service 4wd" light...

Message: My 02 Quad Cab has never needed any repairs. I did change my ball joints to Moogs, not because they were bad but rather because of all the bad press they were receiving. I tow a 26' travel trailer and use it for four wheeling. It powers to the top of test hill at Silver Lake sand dunes without any trouble. Also it stops smoothly with the stock brakes and the transmission shifts as good as new. I don't use OD when towing. This vehicle is driven like what it is, a truck.

Message: cool, thats good but still to new. Mark this day and return in three years and I bet you have a list of repairs. But you still changed the ball joints on principle alone. So technically you had issues/complaints. And for the slow ones out there who did not get it. R/T's are not 4WD, It took three times on reseting the PCM but the light is gone..... for now.

Message: You said "I did post a topic a while back and ask to hear from Dodge buyers with NO repairs in the first 5 years of ownership and got not one reply?". O.k., so I reply and now you say it is too new. My ball joints I consider preventive maintanence, techically. Rather than argue with you I will drop this as you only want to hear negative comments.
