Has anybody heard about the re-introduction of the Charger? The enigine that was created for it, which is identical to the HEMI of old except for the Fuel Injection, was not approve by the whoevers who make the traffic safety laws because it was too powerful(700+ HP) for street use. This is not the same build as the 5.7 which is barely worthy of the HEMI name plate. Just some food for thought.

The 6.1 will be based on the 5.7..just bored out a little...with retuned intake and exhaust. The modern Hemi is said to be quite capable to make even more power by some of the egineers working on the motor!! mike

No, the SRT-8 is going to be the 300, the just released it last week? 425 HP. Also, another minor change with the 5.7 to the 6.1 HEMI, is that the 6.1 won't have the ?MCD? (Multi-cylinder Deactivation or whatever it is). Can never remember what they call it, but anyway, gas mileage will suck, but they figure anyone wanting that much power isn't too concerned about gas mileage

What a cool artical in PHR about the concept 2-dr Charger. Don't look for that from Mopar, though, as all they seem to build are 4-dr sedans nowadays. Besides, the NASCAR teams need a bigger car to run than that smallish 2-dr. Too bad.

Here's an article from Allpar about the new charger coming out. From reading his website, and seeing what has actually happen, he's fairly accurate
