Message: Can you list your mpg (city highway, or averaged, along with the year, engine, 4wd or 2wd, ex-cab or no ex cab, tire size, rear end ratio, any pertinent mods, and how many miles you have on the engine....

jet chip, tb-spacer, Flomaster duals, K&N filter,
32x11.50 tires.
have approx 7400 miles on it.
Not sure about the mileage, really havent gotten out on a long trip yet and drive in lots of stop and go traffic in town. 70 mph one minute and 5 mph the next so mileageis hard to gage. Right now though, I check it at every fill up and constantly get 14 to 14.5 mpg. Probably would be better but its hard to stay off the go pedal with the mods.

Message: 18 - 19 mpg, average if easy on the throttle. 16-17 mpg avg lead-footed. 60% highway.
01 QC, 3.9L V6, 4x4, 3.92 LSD, 5 spd. 7000 miles.
180 T-stat, autolite 3923 plugs; everything else is still stock.
Will see how mods affect mileage.

Message: I have a 2000 quad cab 4X4 4.7 3.55 limited slip 31x10.5 just installed the pace-edwards cover. I have 22,000 miles on the truck and getting 15.5. Most of my driving is hwy at about 70-80 mph. My wife has a new durango with the 4.7 3.55 and 255/65/16 only 300 mile on the truck she is getting 15.8 during the break-in

Most of my driving is hwy at about 70-80 mph. My wife has a new durango with the 4.7 3.55 and 255/65/16 only 300 mile on the truck she is getting 15.8 during the break-in

Notes: The trip computer on my '98 and '00 An and DN always showed worst mileage than the pump. My '01 predicts 10-15% better than I'm actually getting.

Message: 97 Dakota 2WD 5.2L RC auto 60,000 miles. Flowmaster catback, k&n open air filter (14x3), 1.7 roller rockers, accel coil, taylor wires, autolite 3923's, and 180 t'stat. With the 3.9 rears and 275/60R15's I average about 17mpg mixed highway/city. Straight highway about 20mpg. Just put in the t'stat so I don't know how this will affect things.

Well, probably about 14 on the highway. I live bout a mile from work and try to get there faster every day... I mean get HOME faster everyday ....;o)

Message: 99 Durango 5.2L, 42000 miles, 3.55, 31" BFGs, auto tranny and I get 12 mpg in town, don't know highway. I just did a cold air intake to go with my ported TB and performance muffler so I will see what that adds soon. I only live 2 miles from work so lots of stop and go kills the mpg.

I get about 14 in town, and average 18 on the hiway. Sometimes, if I am easy, I can get 15-16 in town. If I stay under 60mph on the hiway, I can get 20-21 easy... have done it many times.
Best was 24.5 doing 60 behind a Uhaul for 250 miles.

just got an amazing 15.25 mpg running mostly highway w/ the AC running. usually i get 13-13.5 around town, takin' it easy from light to light.
if i wanted good milage i would drive my wife's 4-banger sunfire, but that's no fun!

Most of the recent mpg data lie within the mean and +1 standard deviation.
My 4.7L drinks gas, but at least she drinks gas consistently!
Anyone have any idea how much improvement a z tube or air raid has on the 4.7L mpg & HP?

Message: The 5.9 is pretty bad but the good thing is if you are towing a 2000lb trailer the mpg stay the same. My friend has a 4.7 and he always gets better milage but one time we were pulling equally heavy trailers and when his fuel light came on i still had bit more then a quarter.
So for towing 5.9.

I have the gibson dual rear exit exhaust and that is currently it. Looking at K&N fipk. All of these come from the onboard computer which seems to be a little low. I have also put 27.5 gallons in a 26 gallon tank.....???? Still cannot figure that one out.
