I have in the past have had good luck with them until recently. I ordered speedometer calibrator, made by Jet, for the over size tires I have. I ordered it in mid December and now they say February. I understand this a new item but maybe they could have put something on their web site and said you won't get this item for two to three months.

Wouldn't want any other!

BlackDak5: Submitted info??? What is that supposted to mean? You told us something about our GTS hood? You have a close friend? Close friend who?

So you have never purchased anything, never got wronged by us, and then go on to call us "SCAM ARTISTS"?

How about your name, city, state? How about your friends name? Order number?

Ill be the first to admit that we had some supplier issues with the GTS hood airboxes, namely, the manufactuer didnt supply them to alot of people, but I sent out emails to every customer, and posted it on the our website as well as on mulitple forums what the situation was and how we rectified it. In fact, at this point we did switch manufatuers for the airbox, and are offering upgrades to the new design if anyone isnt happy with the prior quality that they received. Tell me how we become "scam artists for that".

Slander is not a very nice thing, so Im not even going to hint at where and why your post was made, but if you have a concern, please contact us about it. If you friend has a concern or order issue, PLEASE have him contact us about it. We will be MORE THEN HAPPY to take care of the issue, if there is one

Hey dude, what about my speedometer calibrator made by Jet, any insight? I sure would like to actually find out when it comes in. They told me late Jan. or early Feb. I ordered it in Dec. I do want to say in the past I've had pretty good luck with Truckperformance.com but I didn't realize they were on this forum. I guess I know where to gripe.

You will find that about par for Truckperformance.com When the altezza tails first came out, they had them listed for sale. I ordered and paid for a set of them in January, and in March had yet to receive them. The deal was APC had yet to officially release them but was taking orders, so TruckPerformance had them listed on heir site and was also accepting orders for something not even in production. The worste part is, they will NOT give you a refund, only store credit towards another item. I ended up buying the underdrive pulleys, and Taylor sprak plug wires, and they did actually refund the few dollars left over. I haven't bought anything from them since then.

Premier Automotive and Jonas are GREAT to do business with. I bought my 20's from them and wouldn't think twice about ordering again. Matter of fact, Premier Automotive and "The Fastman" are the only people I deal with because they stand behind their product! Two huge thumbs up to Jonas and Premier Automotive!

HSKR, when did you get your lights? It's kind of the samething here. I know this is a new item but 3 months or more seems stupid. I never would have paid for them if it was going to be that long. Maybe they could mention stuff like that when they sell new products.

the problem with truck performance is they do drop ordering and don't know what the heck is going on with your order.

when I ordered my locker I paid extra for 3 day shipping. when the product was not at my door within 3 days at lunch time I called them and they were like it's scheduled to go out in 2 weeks arrived next day.

I almost ordered a bumper from them once two but after 3 months of waiting I cancaled.

I have been a member of this forum for several months now.
I choose to pay for the sight because I learned so much about my new truck in such a short time.
I choose to pay because I could afford it and I would like it to be available for others to use.

I have done a lot research and purchasing over the Internet. I am a firm believer that the Internet is an invaluable resource.
I am a computer technician by trade and have bought thousands of dollars of hardware online and learned some valuable lessons that others are stating in this thread. The most valuable thing that I can pass on is that you have be aware of what you are paying for. If a company is selling a product in your hometown for $200 and you can find it online for $100 what does that mean? My first thought is the local guys are the only game in town and are ripping the public off. But have you tried going to the store and telling them their price is too high? You will be amazed at how often this works.
Also keep in mind that for the extra money you are able to leave that same day with your product.
They are stocking the item and taking a risk on it not selling. The online CO. may be drop shipping the item and does not necessarily need to make much of a profit margin to stay afloat.
Personally I use a Hotrod shop in town for all my vehicle upgrades. They are aware of the Internet and keep the prices reasonable. I am willing to pay a few extra dollars to keep a local company in business. They are very happy to have my business and been there for me when I just needed some help.
For all of my computer purchase needs I also have a local shop that does a great job. Of course there are items that they do not stock or cannot compete price wise for lack of buying power, for those instances I choose to shop online with the same thoughts in mind. Newegg.com is where I try and buy everything for computers. They are very reasonable on shipping and actually list in the add in stock or out of stock.

Some of the things that I look for in a company to work with online are integrity and honesty.
I have nothing but respect for Jonas speaking up when someone had a complaint about his co.
I am curiouse to hear what he has to say about MoFinWiley's order.
(FYI... Libel is written, Slander is spoken)

I don’t mean to go off on a rant here, but it seems to me that people are going to complain no matter what.
You want the lowest price? How do you get that? By ordering from someone with no overhead, that needs to dropship form bumf*ck wherever. You want it overnight too because there is a store in your hometown that you could have bought it from yesterday. I do understand that it is frustrating when your order falls through the cracks. First realize what you are getting. If you order online you are getting one of 2 things.
Best price or regional availability. Either way understand that you are taking a chance. Why not just buy all of your stuff from Ebay?

My goal was not to offend anyone but to put some peoples complaints into perspective.

Dude, Truckperformance is the only game in town when it came to what I needed. They should give a little more info on how long it's really going to take before they can ship an item. I have a hotrod shop in my town also but there's certain items they can't even get, like I can on the internet. Yeah, if I can get it at a certain price over the internet they will lower theres, but for some items on these Daks it isn't that easy. That's partially why people come here and find out where on the net they can get these items. Just my two cents.

No word yet, gonna send them ANOTHER email tonight, I am hoping for a response on monday(1/20/03) by 12 noon PST. If nothing by then, It'll be a phone call to really start complaining. If by wednesday I dont have some info from them (order status, ship date, Back Order notification, ANYTHING) then am going to try and get money back. Then it will be time to throw the "S" word around about premier-auto.

Ok Jonas,
The first order confirmation I received on 30 Dec 02 was Order Number TPC99414, which listed the Granatelli Air Intake Set for $113.50. This was a sale price on the Internet found in truckperformance.com and what I received was just an order confirmation stating the invoice would follow.
The second notice received on 3 Jan 03 was an invoice 225168 for $227.00. I then called the toll free number (800-719-8100) and talked with a representative. After explaining the difference in price from what I ordered and what I was charged, he said he would have to speak with his
supervisor. He then returned and said they had never had a sale advertisement that listed the filter set as $113.00. He also stated that if I returned the merchandise I would have to pay a 20% restock fee. I am assuming this would be based on the $227.00 price since they had told me that I never seen the sale on their home page and that the first notice I received was wrong. I'm am sure that any one who thinks you are such a good business person had seen the $113.00 add, if you wanted to find them.
I still plan on pursuing some sort of satisfaction out of all of this. If you are a "good reputable business person" as you have stated you should have access to my phone and e-mail so you contact me. If you are what you claim to be I will end my quest and apologize to you and everyone at dodgedakotas, and Petersons 4wheel off-road magazine. I will hold any further mailings pending our next conversation.
Thanks
Jch

Man I hate to see stuff like this.

Is there any reputable parts companys that can keep there customers happy enough that this forum doesnt become a confessional of sorts?

I hate to see this because I know it just lessens the sales of what may be good parts retailers, who knows.

As with jaggy I do recomend you all check all your local high performance parts dealers, I have delt with two of em for many years and because of that they will match any price I bring em.

Hey Fazdak, haven't you had parts that you can't get in your area that you can on the internet? I know I have constantly. The matching isn't the problem, just getting the part is sometimes.
