Message: I got my Dynomax Super Turbo on my 3.9 L, and its so much louder than stock. I was reading all the posts, and how it had a lower tone, but it waas as quiet as stock. Thats waht I wanted!!!! But my Truck sounds weird now, kinda ricey. And when it kicks into Overdrive, the drone that it makes on the highway is really annoying. Does anyone else have this problem?? Maybe I jsut have to wait 1000 miles, and it'll "burn it" and wont be so bad. But then again, it might get worse....
I looked at the install, and everything is welded well. The only thing I think might make a difference is that the offset is facing the front, and the middle opening is facing toward the back. I dotn think this really matters anyways, cuz i heard its the same both ways.
the only other thing i noticed is the piece of metal right above it vibrates a while when you hit it with ur hand, so I think mine might be loose or soemthing.
If anyone has any help, i would greatly appreciate it. Well, actually i really need it, hahaha.

Message: Same muffler, same droning noise.
I had the shop run the tailpipe straight out under the bumper instead of behind the rear wheel and put on a Hedman tip with a built in resonator in it.
Sounds good and the droning in the cab is gone.

Message: I just installed a Dynomax 17748 Muffler last weekend and I do believe that center inlet is the input side and the offset is the outlet side. I am not sure if these mufflers are omni-directional. I hope that helps.
