JUST BUY A CHEVY. I have an xtreme and it is dam near fast. My buddy has a r/t dakota with a 5.9lt and i have atleast 5 car lengths in front of him. Whats the deal dodge lovers. Bring it on!

I'll bring it on. Because Chevy trucks are ugly! That's why I went Dodge. I don't give a rats ass how fast yours is or how fast you THINK it is. I've seen plenty of lame ass Extremes at the racetrack running 20 second 1/4s and up. Not very impressive. Hmm, could it be a fast truck with a slow driver behind the wheel? You decide.

I've had plenty of chevy xtremes try it with me, but so far none have been worthy. I'm still waiting.
Don't get me wrong I think they look ok but it's not enough truck to be manly.

I imagine those 20 second extremes are of the 4 cyl variety. v6 extremes run 16-17 second 1/4's with no mods.

I am a chevy guy but also have a dakota, and I have to admit that too many 20+ year old guys think that there extremes are bad ass. My opinnion is on cruise night get the hell out of my way. You are not fast nor will ever be. You can super charge and turbo that thing all you want and my first gen s10 with a 350+hp v8 will kill you every time.I bet the extreme boys coudn't even turn the 28" street tires I have on my truck, dumping the clutch and all. peace!

I'm a former GM guy, and even a former employee and still qualify for the discount through my father in law. So why did I switch to Dodge? Because GM's are all so ugly now. I used to have a 97 S10 and I loved the power, reliability and economy of the vin W 4.3... But those new Chevy/GMC trucks are really just plain ugly. I'm not too hot on the 05 Dak's but I love the 97-04 bodies..

When I got into Mopars when I purchased a 68 Plymouth Sattelight Convertable back in '90 own three oldies two new ones and two brand x vehicles
I wouldnt change my Dakota for the world, well maybe for a half ton hemi. Yes parts at times fail and there will always be someone faster then me or with a taller lift or something. The point is, is that it will be Mopars or No cars.
Chrysler has always had the better the better looking cars,
