Subject: Too Much Flow? IP: Logged
Message: is a 4" intake with a high flow filter too much flow for a relatively stock engine?
What about with a new intake manifold and TB?

Message: no the "flow" into the engine is controlled by the throttlebody bores/butterflies. anything else anyone says is bs.

Message: Less restriction can make the engine more efficient. Horsepower is achieved easier (less throttle to perform same task), potential mpg increase if you maintain the same driving habits. To maximize less restictive air intake, add a freer-flowing exhaust; the two work as a team, even on a stock engine.
