Message: I've raced quite a few ricers. Whooped on some hondas, but got spanked by an acura. Raced a few domestics too. I did get whooped by a newer monte carlo. It was an SS. I don't think it was super charged though.

Message: Too many cars and trucks to count, lol. Every thing from a Hemi Ram to a Mercury Marauder to an SRT-4. Also several Mustangs, S-10's, F-bodies, and of course tons of ricers. Thankfully, only ever lost twice:)

Message: I have raced alot of different cars/trucks. I have lost my fair share and won a few too... my lil 3.9 does ok, until about 70 then it starts dogging after that... my most recent kill (s) were a v6 Monte Carlo, (mid 90s) and a 2.4L twin cam cavalier. That 2.4 had alot of takeoff, but i started walking away from him after 35 :-) i got my a$$ handed to me once by a grand am GT (supercharged?) that thing could move!! I hung with it until about 40, then it was all over (i was about 5-6 cars back by 70) LOL LOL!!!! Oh well, i tried...

Message: When I used to street race I blew the doors off of every ricer I lined up against. RSX's, Civic's, Eclipse's, Prelude's, etc. Beat a few other Daks. Lots of G-funk rich kids in SUV's. A ram 1500 w/ a NOS sticker on his window. Though I doubt he was using it when he raced me. Never been beaten but mainly because you can tell what will kick your a$$ when you line up next to them.
Now racing in S. Florida is stupid and dangerous. $1000 fine and you lose your license for 6 months. Repeat offences can land you 5 years in jail. To many cars on the roads any how.
The moral of the story is that Lee County Fl. needs a track!!!

Well anyway I once raced my friends old MG midget with my 2.5 Dakota and smoked him I was disipointed I thought those little Midgets had more get up and go. Thats all I got there is not much out there that won't smoke my Dakota.

Message: SOME Grand Ams are ok. The 3.4 Liter ones. But I think I can beat all of those now.
The S/C'd Grand Prix GTP may be another story.
Iv'e beat some Honda Civic's, Accords, and many other Ricers.
Pulled some Tahoes. I even pulled away from a Tahoe up a BIG hill once while each of us were towing Quads. I had two on my trailer and he had only one. That made my day.
Raced a Turbo Jetta once from a few lights. With his difficulty in hooking up each time I was side by side 0 to 60. We never tried faster than that. Too stupid in city limits anyway.

Message: I meant the grand prix, they look the same. it said GTP on the back next to the name... thats pretty much all i saw of that car!! according to pontiac's website it packs a "Supercharged 3800 Series III V6 engine with Electronic Throttle Control
• Full-Function Traction Control System"
it also goes on to say that "with 200 hp/230 lb-ft torque, no entry-level car in its class has more horsepower. The Supercharged V6 elevates output to 260 hp/280 lb-ft torque"
no freakin wonder I got roasted!!!

Message: Yeah, that L67 motor (gm's supercharged 3800 v6)ain't no joke. They've got a NEW 3800 v6(series 3) in the new pontiacs. Even more hp/torque. Hell, even the L36 (non-sc 3800) is pretty quick.

Message: Martin mentioned the little MG's. I used to have one in college. Broke axils two or three times in it. Didn't even have a top one summer. Those things have no power to speak and the electrical system was a joke. They were fun on a crooked road if you kept the RPM's up around 5000. O-60 was probably 12 sec. Tried to eat a tree with mine... Total failure.

Message: I beat a 93 (or so ) mustang gt and a mitsubishi 3000gt. When I shifted into 5th at 115mph he gave up. But the most fun was an unmarked chevy impala. I didn't pass him but he didn't get away either. After we both quit, side by side, at about 110 mph and slowed back down to highway speeds, a ford truck finally caught up to us and tried to pass us. the cop lit up the lights. You should have seen this guy hit the brakes. I laughed all the way to work.

Message: A few times when it rained I'd line up with a gay looking RICER who was just whipping around traffic like he was bad a$$. I'd flip my little magic button over to 4HI and smoke the ever living sh*t out of him out of the hole. They never have a chance being FWD. Only the AWD can put up in the rain.
I try not to do that too much. Not sure how hard on the transfer case, etc that is.
I've got a ROOTS blower sitting in my garage that came off of a GM Supercharged 3.8. They use those in Buicks, Regals, and now the GTP Grand Prix. That engine has been around for several years now. It made 240HP. Maybe the new one is 260 like someone just said.
I've seen someone on the net use the ROOTS S/C section of that unit in another car but ran the compressed air into an adapter back into like 2 or 3 inch pipe, through an intercooler and back to the TB engine. Worked well.
I wonder if I should make something like that for my truck. It has a stock pulley on it that is like 4 inches in diameter. So, using it on my V8 I bet with a smaller pulley it would make plenty of boost to give me 6 to 7 psi easy. Not too mention ROOTS blowers give you less lag off of the line than any other kind. Good for TOWING.
Who knows. For now it's just sitting in my garage collecting dust.

Message: Although I do not condone street racing, it does happen.
Raced a punk in a ricer civic yesterday aft. He had a big alluminum wing, loud yellow paint, decals, red 18"s or 19"s, big fart can on the back.
He reved his motor a few times, looked at me and sort of sneared like he didn't approve of my ride.
At the light, he reved it up (for about 20sec. before the light changed) and spun a little bit, but not much (those things have NO torque) I feathered it out of the hole and simply kept pulling on him.
I only got it about half way through second and let off (city streets)I had 9 or 10 lengths on him. Beat him bad, and YES, he WAS going for it.
When we got to the next light, he wouldn't even look over, but he did turn up the stereo.
We all have stories similar to this, I'm certain.

Message: We had a guy at work talk so much crap about his 2002 Mustang GT 5 speed and thought he was the top dog. So we went to the track and I raced him in my 2002 cc rt. The video is fricking sweet. I totally blew him away. He couldn't drive for crap. Then later that night after he learned to shift he asked to race again, I told him no so that he could stew in it. Anyways that was when I had a new set of kuhmo 711's, flowmaster exhaust and superchip.
Then this dummie puts an exhaust SMALLER...Yes SMALLER than stock and does a K&N intake and a chip and thinks he has 330 HP. Well I hope he has enough to overtake my Kenne Bell S/C 5.9 with edelbrock headers and a boost cooler.
Either way what kind of nerd with a Mustang GT compares himself to a truck...if he is pushing 330 HP he should be out racing SS camaros and WS6's. Oh, he also said he ran a 13.9 (street tires) at the track.:P yeah right with a 4.6 16v, heck a Mach 1 with 32v heads can run a 13.9 on a good day.

I get that all the time here too. It's like they do all of these rediculous things to their college girl econo box cars to pretend it was a sports car and when they hear a sporty V8 truck like our Dak's (which mind you sounds so f#cking good compared to their pop corn maker) they get some sort of Ricer bred attitude and want to race.
It's really fun to pull away from their spam can with a 4000+ Lb truck!
I try to keep it under 50 or 60 MPH or so. Once I got them I let off. No reason to do 90 in the city.
