Subject: MSD and Platinum Plugs IP: Logged
Message: Where is all of this info about MSD and platinum plugs coming from? I searched the directions that came with my 6A - including the dozens of inserts - and I scoured their web site and they say nothing, anywhere, about avoiding platinum plugs. Now, as I recall, Jacobs warned you off anything other than a "normal" plug, but I can't see any warning from MSD.
Just curious.

Message: Jeeze, you'd think they would put SOMETHING about the proper plugs to use in their literature (especially that stuff about the platinum "nub" on some plugs zapping loose)...
By the way, I didn't mean to come off as doubting anyone; I was genuinely curious.

Message: I had the same conversation with MSD several years ago (Platinum Plugs and why they're not recommended). It's funny how they will tell you not to run them...but don't put anything in their instructions or website.
