Some have asked what does a Keene Bell Supercharger kit put out here is the Dyno #`s from Bob Kennedy
"2002 Durango 4.7 stock 194 rwhp@4400 Rpm. 250 rwtq @ 3500 Rpm without supercharger.
With supercharger 270 rwhp @ 5400 Rpm. delta hp at 5400 is 108
276 rwtq @ 4400 delta tq at 4400 43ftlbs.
This is a 4 wheel drive the transfer case is sucking up hp."
and add another 10% to 15% increase with Alky/Water injection depending on weather conditions.Temp,Humity,Ect. This was done at 6 PSI. Boost I will start my system Thursday and may go to a 7Psi pully not desided as of yet.and the Matt Snow Alky/Water injection set-up with a 160PSI pump and a 225 nozzle, It puts out some pretty nice fog just holding in hand and running off a Battery I also have a 375 nozzle that came with the kit. but may still use if the 7psi is too much

Only a 26lbs torque increase, is that right, thats horrible! 76hp increase is good though.

With such a small mass of rotating mass the crank and pistons and TQ converter you just do not have that large amount of TQ like you would have with a 440 CID eng. so a 43 FT LP. TQ increase is quite a bit. for a little 4.7 engine this gives you at the rear tires
The HP increase is 108 ponny`s. The TQ is 276 a 43 Ft.LB increase all this is with out alky/water injection and not a very high boost more of a reliable performace increase.
This would come close to 403 HP at the fly wheel and over 350 Flbs of TQ at the fly wheel.
which is a very powerful street Truck. It can smoke the tires "16" 9-1/2" with a strait axel and no S/C at the time. I may be wrong with the fly wheel #`s if so can someone change them for me there is a way to convert Rear wheel to fly wheel I believe The part most likely to break is the rods. They are made with loose metalic powder poured into a mold and pressed togeather with great pressure like the floater plates in a Top Fuelie. They used to be called splintered iron.
and once again please forgive me of my writing and spelling. I had a stroke and sort of lost it all for a long time. and it is very hard to remember. when I write something it looks good to me but really comes out real crappy.

Buck, looks like you write just fine to me. Keep up the posts. Good info. Thanks. Any info about what's involved in the install would be greatly appreciated too.

All this sounds great, but what are the gas milage numbers? Those are the real numbers that count. In today's economy and the events we face these days, we might have to be looking at a future alternative, or else get our bosses to bump our wages up 10x fold.

RWHP to Flywheel HP Calculations
IP: Logged

Message:
If you started with 235 flywheel hp from a stock 4.7 and it dyno'd to 194 rwhp then you're only losing about 17.5% thru the drivetrain. If you use that figure then 270 rwhp will end up looking like 327 flywheel hp.

You won't have to worry about the rods at all with just 7psi of boost. I've put 14-15psi of boost to mine without any problems. According to the online calculators that are based upon weight and mph at the end of the 1/4 - my 4.7 should be making between 450 and 477 rwhp depending upon which calculator you use. My math shows that figure to be in the 535 to 560 flywheel hp range. An accidental increase to 30psi was a different story. At that point the rods did fail.

Im a good friend of Bucks and he does write good! Believe me he appreciates the support. The guy is smart. Anyway, the fuel mileage is the same until you get into the boost. Like any vehicle the more HP the mileage goes down a bit. The KB works with a full throttle switch so you only deviate from factory mileage when you want.
