I am having trouble finding what exhaust system I want. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations/experience for what I should get for my truck.
I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota R/T Standard Cab 5.9 liter.
I want to get a performance exhaust that sounds like a big V8 engine should. A nice DEEP RUMBLE..... 8-)
I want it to be a REAR SIDE exhaust. I like the factory appearance. Dual Rear Side is also OK.
Any ideas, or recommendations are greatly appreciated !

Spintech, MBRP, or Gibson. They all have a deep rumble.
BTW: Get rid of the Helix spacer, they don't do anything for the 3.9/5.2/5.9L engines (Dyno and track tested). Invest in a modified throttle body...it'll make a much more noticeable difference. :)

dont but a exhaust for the R/T. they come with a freeflow system already. hot rod mag did a K&N cat back system with a straight through muffler and the dyno showed a 1 HP LOSS with a 1 foot LB of torque increase.

Hey ram I got the alluminized dual rear split with the 3 inch stainless tips under the bumper was
640 canadian.dont know wah that comes to exactly in american cash but definatley less I have the 16 inch spare an it still fits too,I would definately recommend them,later

Mopar offers a Performance cat-back for the R/T it's a 3" system. I installed this system on my 4.7 Dakota. I love the rumble it packs and the extra power. I paid $425 (cdn)
