Anyone running the the doetsch-tech shocks on a dakota, specifically the 8000 pre-runner series? If you have`nt seen these heres a link http://www.doetsch-shocks.com,these are the real deal in shocks,I have used them before in a jeep and they were a dam fine shock, used to run ranchos these were much better on and off-road so anyone using them if so got a part#,to lazy to whip off a front and back shock and do the measurements,Thanks

I got them for the rear of my Truckin-Suspension kit.. They are to stiff for me.. I'll be switching them out with som Rancho 9000's when I can come up with the cash. I don't know what sseries they are because Truckin Painted them there colors instead of Doetsch's.

Knobby you might have the 9000 series then the the 8000`s are medium to firm as far as stiffness of your truck that could be a whole lota things,Doetsch makes adjustable shocks aswell and a in the cab system too, they even have a rebuidabale shock, most of the off-roaders up here in BC use Doetsch,http://www.bc4x4.com/pr/2001/doetsch/dt-8000-a.jpg
the shafts are way beefier than ranchos not to mention built in bumpstops and half the price to boot, guess I have a weekend project " shock measurements"

Knobby I was searching the web and found this on a 4x4 website,AIM / Chassis Tech "SLAMR NITRO" & "CHASSIS TECH NITRO" shocks:
DON'T BE LED TO BELIEVE THAT THE "SLAMR NITRO" IS A DOETSCH TECH PRODUCT. IT IS NOT! (You can call Doetsch Tech directly at 1-800-8-SHOCKS to confirm this. AIM industries is not a Doetsch Tech distributor, so neither the"SLAMR NITRO" nor the "CHASSIS TECH NITRO" are Doetsch Tech products.)

Always beware of shocks with no historical track record and/or of questionable origin. Your truck's ride quality and handling is too important.
