Hey there,
I've been looking around and checking prices for my 99 for about a month now. I have a 99 4x4 extended cab, dakota sport, sportin a 318. I'm Ready to lift it, i've got my money now and just lookin around, I'm doin a suspension, i've messed around with to many body lifts to do it to my dak. I'm lookin at a 5 1/2 inch lift, i was lookin at the truckinsuspension 4 1/2 lift but decided not to go with it because of knobbymans bad luck with them. And 3 just isn't enough!! Does anybody have any info on the tough country lift, I've heard good things about it, but the local 4x4 shop doesn't like to deal with tough country, I'm not worried about that cause more than likely i'll end up doin the install my self. But this 4x4 shop said to wait a little bit, cause they have a new lift coming out for the rack and pinnion trucks. I think they said somethin about it bein a Fabtech lift, does anybody know anything about this?

Ohhhhh....GAAAAAAWWWWWWWDDDDDDDDDD...........would that be nice. A fabtech lift for a 2000+ 4x4 rack 'n pinion dakota.

2 1/2" on the way from Rancho. Probably not enough to run 33's but w/ you guys running the PA body lift you might have a shot at 35's. I'm just looking to run 32's w/ no rubbing on whatever wheels I want. Basically I want my truck to sit the way it should have been off the assembly line, so this will be the answer to my dreams...

Even if they say it's only 2.5", it's probably a good bet you can get more out of it by cranking the torsion bars a bit...at least enough to get 3" so we can run 33's.
Wouldn't that be great to get a kit from Rancho or from Fabtech out in the world...i might actually be able to tackle the same stuff as my friends do with lifted trucks without high-centering the damn thing!
I've been a good boy so far...maybe Santa will bring an early christmas present!

hey man, I just got a 6.5 from truckin suspension out of Mesa Arizona, truck looks great, no problems, they did a great job!!

Talk to Knobby before you put that thing in four wheel drive, if you haven't already. Something they didn't correct for on the front driveshaft.
