Subject: 3" PA body lift & tires IP: Logged
Message: Sounds like everybody loves the body lift. Great it could save me some cash. I've got a 2000 dakota and have stock 31 x 10.5 x 15's on it now, but if I put the body kit on it will I be able to fit 33 x how wide can I go? x 15's. will I only be able to use 11.5's or 12.5's? Thanks for the help. C-Ya

Message: plan on using stock rims my dakota is a 2000 4.7 club cab auto full time 4x4 transfer case with extra spring in back from factory. it came stock with the 31's so I think the rims are the wider ones. I'll have to check on my paperwork. thanks for the help, i'm sure i'll have more questions soon.

Message: o.k. but did you have to do any trimming of the fenders? my dak already has the flares, but i don't want to trim anything. and what does cranking up the torsion bars hurt if anything?

Message: Hoytshooter - If you run a 3" Body lift and 33x12.5x15 ProComp Xterrains there will be a very small amount if any rubbing. Cranking the Torsion Bars wears them out alittle faster but nothing else.

Message: All I had to trim was the front plastic piece. it was very slight trimming. on the rear of the fender well you need to remove a couple of inches of plastic but you dont have to trim the fender flares or anythgn liek that. the only reason for the triming is the wheels will rub when turning if you trim the m slightly they dont rub at all. the dakotas have pretty big wheel wells
