First just want to say that this board kicks ass!
Been reading tons of great info for my truck!
Looking for new tires and wheels for my '99 CC 4WD Sport. I was going to get 31x10.5 BFGs on American Racing AR-23's. But I'm interested in the BFG 32x11.5's now that I read a few people run them on non-lifted trucks with little trouble. Now the question is, what backspacing do i order? I didnt take my stock 15x8 off yet, but it looks like I have over 5" of backspacing..
I really dont want them to illegally stick out past my fenderwells. Can anyone tell me what backspacing to get? Or maybe I should just stick with 31x10.5's and avoid the hassle?

I run 3 3/4" backspacing, wrapped in 33X12.50 procomp mud terrians and a 3 inch body lift, with no problems other then a little trimming on the front bumper.

I have pro comp 32x11.5x15 on the stock 15x8 rims.
I originally had a little but of rubbing on the frame of the truck at full right/left turn. There was a good 2-3 inches of room from the fendors.
But just last week I installed new Rancho RSX shocks and had the installer raise my torsion bars up just a bit to level out the truck, before he did the alignment. And now I have no rubbing at all.

Ok, now I'm finding out what alot of you already know.. It's hard to find a wheel with 6-4.5" configuration! The AR-23's only come in 6-5.5! Argh. Now i guess I'm back to the drawing board as far as looking for wheels. The other thing is backspacing, I read here that 5.5" is the factory 15x8 backspacing.. most wheels only come in 3.75" This pushes the wheel out into the fenders even more. Eagle 589's are popular.. Anyone suggest any other wheels?

After scouring this board for hours and hours, I think I'm coming to the conclusion that a 3" body lift isn't such a bad thing after all.. They are only $150.. I'm positive I could do it myself, tho I am going to call a shop and ask them how much t would c9ost to have them do it, because my time is just as valuable as money, and I have a prostreet camaro I need to get ready for state inspection!
