Your stock rims are 15x7" rims, I think. I used to have those on my 1989. On a 15x7" rim, yes you can fit 31" tires. But you would be better off going with a 15x8 tire if you seek 31" tires. If you stick with the 15x7, you might consider 30" tires.

The stock rims on an 87 dak are 15x6. i know because i just took my old ones off. The stock rims can fit any thing up to 33x11.5s but they will have a crowned over tread but so will the 31x10.5s. I went to 15x8s so i could fit 33x12.5s.

Dude, you ran 33x11.50 on 15x6 rims? Ok 2 questions... How did you get a 11.50 wide tire on a 6in wide rim? And how did you run a 33 tire on a 87' Dak? Thanks
