Subject: tuff country or rancho or wait?? IP: Logged
Message: Ok...thought I had everything figured out now I'm not so sure. Will the rancho 3" suspension lift and a three inch body lift clear 35's. I like the rancho setup better than tuff country and basically I've heard their both running the same tires. Kinda wierd considering one is 5.5 and one is 3. Or should I just all-together wait on the suspension to see if another legitimate company (not *uckin suspension or *hitlash) puts together a taller lift for our trucks?

Message: If you want to run 35's I think your going to need more then 6". You'd have to do the 5.5" Tuff Country and the 3" body. I THINK.
Anyway Personally I'd do the 3" Rancho & 3" Body if you wanted to attempt it.

Message: The Rancho 3" is in actuality closer to 5", I measured the parts. Rancho claims 3 inches because most auto insurance agencies won't insure anything over 3 inches. That's why you can fit 33s with the Rancho

Message: thats kinda what I was thinking. I personally think that rancho is a better lift. I also really don't like how the bars hang low with the tuff country lift so I think I'm just going to wait for now and just do the body lift. That gives me time to build up funds and work on cosmetic upgrades. I did find a regular cab with the combination body/suspension lift. It looks a little ricey and there seems to be a lot of stuff hanging loose underneath. It can be seen at:

Could look better with that setup I think. For some reason it just doesn't look right.

Message: The Rancho kit can be cranked up to 5". It will easily sit at 4". That plus a 3" body will clear 35's. 6" of lift will clear 35's with only minor rubbing offroad so 7" will be pretty safe.

Message: Yes, just crank up the bars.
Look at it this way, you can crank your stock bars up 1" anyway so do that in combination of the rancho lift and you can see that 4-5" is easy to achieve
