Subject: Here's the plan IP: Logged
Message: I've been planning the mods for my truck now for the last 2 months. Since I haven't seen a regular cab on 35's on this site, thats where I'm goin.
5.5" tuff country suspension lift
Performance Accessories 3" body lift
(on the way, bought through the group buy)
powerslot rotors
3.92 gears for rear, still debating on front
(possibly the same set-up as dan)
flowmaster exhaust
I'm still looking for a good tire/wheel package so I'd like to here any suggestions. Looking for 35x12.50 on 15x10 rims. I'm looking to have this done by the end of the summer. Funds are there, but I'm trying to avoid crashing my savings account all at once.
Oh yeah, my newest upgrade should be e-mailed to me any day. My dodgedakotas.com membership!!

Message: Ummmm...what did you mean by, "3.92 gears for rear, still debating on front"?
You do realize that HAVE TO have the same gears in both the front & rear differentials, right?
Aside from that, it'd be pretty sweet to see a Dak up on 35's!!

Message: I'm trying to see if there is a 3.92 gear for the front as well...a little hesitant with putting 3.90's in the front like dan did in his set-up. I honestly haven't looked into it enough yet because this be one of the last mods.

Message: Is there a lift kit for 2001 Quad Cab 4x4's yet?
Last I checked the r&p steering prevented any suspension lift.
thanks for the help

Message: KJW to be short.. NO! . kind of but I wouldn't recomend it. I did do a suspension lift on my truck but it took 2 months of custom work. You can see all the pictures on www.knobbyman.com Check out the post here to see what has happened over the last 2 months.

Message: Thanks for the info...I bought the truck last year at this time with full intentions of lifting it and then found out the bad news. I never even gave it a thought that I would not be able to lift it. I can hardly believe dodge did this because these trucks look so good lifted they could have some real nice trucks running around.
How does the 3" body lift look? You can do that can't you? Body lifts as a rule don't look that great but I have not seen one on a Dakota so I can't be sure. If that's all there is.........
