I'm assuming that the Fabtech Prerunner Bar i've seem on some Dakota's is the universal one? How does it mount to the front bumper? Is it pretty stable? How about with the 3" body lift? Has anyone tried to modify a front skid plate to fit the Dakota?

To My knowledge, no one has a Dakota Specific Skid Plate...but a welder and a plasma cuter can go a long way!

Procomp also has one, I have it installed. It is the universal one.

Has anyone tried to see if the Fabtech Desert Guard works on the gen III. This is different from the Pre-runner light bar. If you haven't seen a picture check it out at http://www.4wheelparts.com/product2.asp?imseqn=1830&occlass=Fab&cat=SUS

The desert guard would be nice, but I don't think they make them for the newer Dakotas. But like Dakota said, a welder and a plasma cutter can go a long way.
