Message: Finally found me a really good place to play at besides the beach. Nice thing is it isnt too far from my house. Plenty of mud, nice trails. some ponds, huge dirt hills, and lots of ditches and run outs. Went by there to check it out on my way home. Went in a muddy area and forgot I wasnt in 4wd. Went pretty far, but the back tires got packed up pretty bad and got really slick. Was our lovely FL super glue mud. Grabbed to old transer case lever and was rolling in no time. X-Terrains packed up a bit quicker than most mud tires, but I did notice that if even 1 of them finds something to grab, you will go. Gave it a little blip of the gas and cleaned a tire or two out, and then I could literally hear one tire grabbing roots and stuff under the mud. Went down a dirt road that went around a pond then. was half way around the pond when I realized that the rest of the road hadnt been traveled by anything other that dirt bikes and atv's for quite some time. Might have something to do with all the deep runout's where the pond apperently overflowed at some point. I went ahead anyway. Too hard to try and turn around where I was. Crawled right through it all nice and slow. Tires were really grabbing the dirt then. Went from there over to where ther were some HUGE dirt hills. One guy was out riding his bike so I went over to another area. Didnt want him flying over a hill and landing on top of me. Went up one hill where others had been going up and down. Was about a 70 degree angle or better. Was staring straight up while going up it. When I crested, my one usual complaint with Daks showed itself. It high centered. Not bad. Just a little rub on the dirt by the transfer case crossmember. Thought at first when I looked at it that it was bent. Couldnt figure out how though as it barely touched, I was crawling, and the dirt was pretty soft. After further inspection, I was just seeing things. Have to say, my approach angle with the body lift was GREAT. Vastly improved over stock. Didnt have long to hang around, was on my way to church and had to get going. But now that I have found a great play place other than the beach (thats close to home to boot) I'll be getting out there quite often. Will be going back and taking lots of pics soon.

Message: Dan, I was going to email you and let you know. You need to get back up here. You will LOVE it.
Knobby, Ft Walton is only about 5 hours away. Might as well drive on over.
Tiger, just our Wed. night dinner. I was running a little early because traffic wasnt as back on the ride home as it usually is.
Cant wait to get back over there. Literally like 5 minutes from my house.

Is this pond near Jacksonville? Thats where your at right? Muddin is like the best stress reliever around. My buddy and I are working on a new buggy. All custom frame etc, old military axels with new 4.56s and detroit lockers, and Ag 46 in x 22in tires. With a buick engine etc. Its gonna be fun. I cant wait to get it goin. Glad you found a fun place up there man. Theres good ones around gainesville here too. Love it!
