 Subject: Nice Quad Cab...

Last week I rolled over to 4-Wheel Parts to pick up some stuff, and while I was waiting in their warehouse, I saw a forest green Quad Cab leaving. The unusual part is that this thing was in the process of being decked out! Let me see if I can explain this...
He had 3" black powder-coated nerf bars. Nothing unusual there, but at the "corners" of the nerf bars were 3" tubes/pipes that ran up along the contours of the cab, over the top & back down to the opposite side. If you've seen the '99 SEMA photos of Dakarta, that's what kind of what this looked like, but with big ol' 3" black powder-coated bars (Dakarta had like 2" pipes running up the cab).
On the top of the cab, there were two matching horizontal pipes connecting the front & rear, and creating a "box frame" for a safari rack to sit in.
Given the short glance I had, I couldn't tell what all else he'd done, but the custom, exterior roll bar & roof basket setup looked pretty sharp.

Note: It didn't look like he had the bar running along the bottom of the windshield. Aside from that, this is pretty close to what he had.
