I can't remember which 4x4 magazine (I get them all) did an article a while back on a locker for the front diffeential on 97-2000 Daks. They did an install and everything. I thought it was like an ARB airlocker or something. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know which magazine and what type of locker it was.

Thanks

Corey

I'm fairly sure that 97-00 were Dana 35's .. Just about EVERYONE makes lockers for that.

I think they were Dana's anyway.

Yeah, their are a few lockers I've found but I'm looking for an e-locker or an air locker. None of the companies that makes them shows the Dana 35 application for Dakotas. I'm 90% sure that article covered the install of a locker that was part-time (electric or air). I'm not sure if a regular locker will work good because I don't believe our trucks have outboard diconnects for the CV joints. THe 4wd switch only disconnects the transfer case. Chevys have a clutch system between their differential and CV joints so that in 2wd only the CV turns and not the differential thus a regular locker will work. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
