Message: Does your lightbar bounce or move alot? Mine is mounted to the bumper correctly but because of those flimsy asz bumper brackets from the body lift the bumper flex's and lets the lightbar vibrate. Did you stiffen yours up? I'm just curious, also did you put any blocks in the rear? I think my front end sits a bit higher than the back. I cranked my torion bars and was wondering if you did the same.

Message: Hawk added some braces to the back of the brackets to stiffen up,looks good and stopped all of the movement.

Message: Yeah, I did add some braces as Viper said. It doesnt really move much now. I dont have any lights on it yet so I dont have anything to watch and see if it moves any when driving.
Mine sits level. I raised my T bars a tad but thats because mine was way low in the front. I found some 1 inch blocks for the rear that I would love to add, but I cant find a way to raise the front an inch without cranking the T bars all the way. Dont want to do that.

Message: Oh man, if I could get just one more inch I would prolly just stay at that height and not go any higher. I like my truck the way it is, I just want the front tires to clear better with 10" rims. What about longer shocks? I don't know.

Message: Just to let anyone know if your interested, HELLA sells these SS adjustable brackets that are designed to mount from a light to anything solid you can extend them, twist them shorten them anything you need to provide a more rigid mounting. Way back in my want to be rally car days I had a datsun 310 gx with hella rally 2000's on top of the bumper if your not familiar with the 2000's they're 9" in diameter, the stiffening brackets worked great never had a problem, of course I never took it where a 4x4 could go although I did take it off road. Also in regards to flimsy body lift bumper brackets, I'm not familiar with the brackets for our dakota's as my 01 is stock, but on my 87 nissan I had before the dakota we doubled the brackets to make them stronger. Just my 2 cents,
TONY
