I am not sure if the link will work. I do not know how to post a picture on this board. If you would like to see the photo's you can e-mail me and I can send them or maybe someone else can post them for me.
I had Wayne do up the bumper and then I had a local powder coat company do the finish.
I thought some of you may like to see his bumper in a different light. He has made some changes to the design but all for the good.
Wayne is ready toi pump out bumpers for Dakota's. It took him a week to have it ready to be coated. I made the arrangements with Hy-Tech powder to get it finished. Then Wayne installed it. Hy-Tech will pickup at Wanyes place and deliver it back when it is done. The Powder coating to ok the longest (2 weeks) but it turned out to my liking and looks great. Since I did not go with the standard Black or white powder coat I paid more. Plus I had it primed and clear coat due to the requirments of the color I chose.
If you want something cheap then do not go to Wayne Hanson.
If you try to get a hold of him Fax him or leave him a message where he can reach you and not a Answering machine. He is way busy but stuck to his timing all the way through. For those of you who will have it shipped to you, have it finished locally so there will be no damage done in shipping.
Wayne is a great guy you just need to be patient with him. Poor guy is trying to make bumpers while answering the phone.

Message: I have the same problem with my pics but when I posted a link to the album and not the individual pic it worked. Dunno if it will work for you though. I don't use shutterfly. Alot of these photo storage sites want you to E-mail everyone and 'invite' them to look at your pics. Good Luck!

Message: Hey hawk yes the bumper will work with a body lift I had one done on my dakota with my three inch body lift. However I will warn you on this if you get the bumper and you put a big winch on like I did, a warn 9500 XDI then the whole bumper assembly weighes in at around 200 lbs and will make the front of your truck drop down a little bit which might cause a little rubbing if you have 33X12.50 tires depending onyour backspacing I think if I had rims that stuck out maybe an inch less I would have been able to not have rubbing.
As soon as I get my scanner working I'll post some pictures.

Message: you'll be find then with the bumper since it only weighes in by itself at like 80 lbs. for a comparison I can lift the bumper by itself with no winch by myself where as it took two of us to lift it with the winch attached. I highly reccomend his bupers through. Mine's been through a major car wreak and I was told by the officer on the scene that he felt the bumper was what allowed me and a friend of mine to walk away.

Message: That is one sweet bumper. At over $1K shipped for bumper with only frenched in driving light option, that is a little steep for my taste, not to mention powdercoating if that is seperate. But since it looks like I am not getting a suspension lift anytime soon I just might have to think about it:)

Message: I just talked to the owner/welder/designer/sales guy/ EVERYTHING. HE'S AWSOME!! If I didn't buy this lift I would have ordered the bumper. True it's expensive but LOOK at the quality. OMG! this is something I'd be proud to advertise.
The owner told me that he can't crank these things out fast enough. Between answering the phones and e-mail he can bairly keep up. I wish I could help out but I don't want to do the across the states lines dealings anymore. Perhaps I'll move to CA for alittle while :-p j/k
Anyway if you guys are looking for a bumper this thing ROCKS! Attention to detail at it's finest.

Message: Nope he doesn't. But if you somewhat like the way mine looks.. It's EASY to make or have someone make. If you have a welder & a cutting torch then you could do it yourself.
I have it Rhino lined now and I'm going to try and replace my shackle brackets because I don't like the ones on it now.. but there ya go.

Message: I honistly don't remember exactally.. How tall is a licance plate? it's the same size 4" or 6" C-Channel. The brackets for the Shackles are made out of a piece of steel w/ a hole drilled in the middle and a tube running threw it the length of the inside of the shackle.
Hold your tire up on your step bumper right now.. it's HUGE! if our tailgates were abit taller it might be ok.. but right now the tire just looks to big.
Also for those of you that are running 33" tires right now.. I can NOT fit a 33" where I used to have my spare. Because of the Reciever hitch. I'll probably end up mounting my spare in my bed.. or to my roof. We'll see when I get my roof rack.
TJ you might try getting the shackle tabs from Hanson Enterprise or Trail Ready. They have some nice solid ones.. I'm going to call up Hanson abit later once I get my truck back from the shop to see if they can ship me 2 of those.

Message: Nope.. they are straight steel. 1/4" thick.. I think I'll have to look at it to make sure.
Thx for the info Brandon but if I remember correctly they don't make a flat bumper like I wanted.. that's why I made this one.

Message: I think it was me that accidentally fired this discussion back up. I managed to rip the little plastic piece out from under my front bumper at work one day (yea, my quad cab is my work truck) and decided to get a real bumper to replace it. So my bumper has been on order for almost a week now, Wayne said he'd try to get it to me in 3 weeks.
Wanye sounds like he's a busy man, but he's got his ducks in a row down there, and he's going to do all he can for anyone that wants him to build a bumper. He was honest about his current work load over the phone, and had me fax him my final shipping address rather then his having to answer the phone again. One thing that we did discuss while I was on the phone was a rear bumper for the dakota. He's given it some thought, and I gave him some feedback on it. I have a reciever hitch on my truck. I don't need a heavy duty rear bumper with a receiver hitch built in. I need a rear bumper that will allow me to keep my hitch. He agrees. He doesn't want the liability of the hitch - but he does want to build a bumper. He's talking about 1/4 inch steel for the rear instead of the 3/16 he used on the front - like me he seems to feel he has more control over who he runs into than who is going to run into him.
