Hi all, excellent forum.
I have a 2000 QC 5.9L with the NP242 AWD x-fer case. Am I lucky? Should I switch to the NP231? The main positive and negative is that it won't spin the tires. I need to squash my brothers '93 lightning when we get together in a couple months. I am just afraid I am loosing alot of power in the t-case from excesive slippage. My goal is to reach 300hp before we meet. Any comments are appeciated.

Thanks again...BTW, today in the rain (after getting my A.R.E. LSII Tonneau Cover with sport wing installed...sweet!), I floored my DAK QC from a stop light...no wheel spin, got thrown back into the drivers seat...bet ya a NV233HD (ok, without LSD) would have spun the tires... (nothing against you part time 4WD owners...I've been on myself the past 10 years)

Why 'without LSD'? I've a q/c 4.7, 233, 9.25 LSD and on a wet road I can pretty much spin both the tires until I feel like letting off the gas.
